What was your favorite part(s)??
For me:
#1 - the Janis Joplin tribute with Joss Stone singing Cry Baby and then Melissa Ethridge singing Piece of My Heart with Joss singing back up vocals. It was simply breathtaking!!
#2. The Los Loney Boys winning a Grammy

I turned it on just as the Joplin tribute was starting and turned it off as soon as it ended, I didn't think they could top it. Joss Stone is incredible (I wonder if she's a Parrothead? She performed barefoot.)

I'm listening to a replay of the Beatles tribute on the radio now. It does not sound good.

I've been hearing bad stuff all morning about the southern rock tribute.

What Beatles tribute?
The one with Norah Jones, Tim McGraw, Steven Tyler, Stevie Wonder, Alecia Keys, and some others. It wasn't good at all. One performer sounded worse than the previous.

Do you mean Across The Universe? I heard that on the radio this morning too, it was horrible. But I thought that was the song they did to raise money for the tsunami relief fund, sort of like this generation's We Are The World.

Tim McGraw took the worst pounding in the reviews I have heard.

Oh, I don't know. On the radio this morning, they were saying it was a Beatles tribute, but they could be wrong.

One review actually said "How is he in the music business?"

Across the Universe is a Beatles song, thus no matter how it is used it will be looked at like a Beatles tribute.

When it was over.
Actually I liked the Janis tribute and Loretta's acceptance speech. The Southern Rock tribute would have been better if Retchid wasn't singing off key. The less said about Tim McGraw the better but his song should be changed to "Sing Like I'm Dyin'".

I missed it too
Did MC Bitchslappa and DJ Killahoe win a grammy for best rap duo?

That's exactly what it was... $ from ITunes downloads goes to tsunami relief, and I think they told of websites you could go to to donate as well.
