I dont really know how to broach this subject so i will give you some background. I became a full fledged parrotthead about 5 years ago. since then i have purchased about 15 cd, gone to 3 shows, bought and read all the books, sign in here and discuss regularly, and listen to as much radio margaritaville as possible. this year i made not one but 2 phlockings to key west in a months time to soak up the 'jimmyness.'
this is the point of my whole discussion. before i went to key west in my mind i still pictued jimmy at about 45 years old, i guess in teh fruitcakes era. however after going to key west i immediately thought of him as no more than 30, the bushy moustache, wild hair, etc. so now when i see him and remember he is nearly 60 it makes me think. he really is no longer the wild party man who lives the nomad existence that we have all come to associate with him.
so in all my ramblings my question is, what age do you think of jimmy as when you listen to his music?
