Well, we found a house to rent in Miramar Beach and we are headed there March 19-26!!! I've been there before, but with family. There will 10 of us going, all in or just out of college. What do you all suggest we do? What are must sees? Where are the best places to eat?

Bob you gotta go to the web site: www.springbreakpanamacity.com And www.panamacity.org and www.panamacitybeachfl.com . And I think the Pink Pony Pub is in Panama City ( http://pinkponypub.net ) and Pineapple Willie's is somewhere there (they have a drink called a Triple Bypass!) Cash's (this guy named Cash has made so much money on the Florida gulf) has male strippers and wet t-shirt nights, etc. Fudpucker's is in the same category. You won't have any problem finding something to do (or drink)!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first web site I listed has all the information about what's going on in Panama City during spring break, and there's usually a LOT going on!

Well, that was several years ago...probably don't do it anymore. I think the whole idea of that was: get the girls in there, drinking, from 8:00 to 10:00 with hot semi-nekkid strippers, then at 10:00, let the boys come in and reap benefits of aforementioned girls' mood! 8)

Be prepared to be the oldest people there, and do not get a tattoo in PCB (this is the voice of experience talking....).....

But the shark restaurant is really good (Sharky's maybe?)! And the little BBQ shack on the main Beach Road (can't remember if it's front or back).

I agree 100% with aquaholic...AJ's is an absolute must-eat place. In my opinion, some of, if not the, best food in town!

I've never eaten at AJ's before. It sounds great! When we were there on Senior trip about 5 years ago, we liked Fudpuckers, Harry T's, and the Back Porch. The Back Porch had some awesome seafood! Do you think it would be worth driving over to Gulf Shore to go to Lulu's? I think it would be over a 2 hour drive.

Yep AJ's is great, and I love the Back Porch (windows open with great view). You might kick yourself if you don't visit Lulu's, depending on how often you go to the Gulf. If you only go every several years, go! We're going to Gulf Shores in May and I'm planning on spending all afternoon and night at Lulu's. I just hope I behave myself.  Looking forward to the grouper loaf, I've heard it's great.

What else is there to do in Gulf Shores? I don't know that I will be able to convince my friends to drive all the way over there to just eat, when there are plenty of great restaurants in Destin. I really want to go, but I'll have to convince them to go by doing something else. I know the USS Alabama battleship is their, but I don't know if that's something they'll really even care about. So, what is there to do in Gulf Shores?

There isn't much to do for college kids in Gulf Shores on spring break. Especially this year (without the Flora-Bama). The USS Alabama is in Mobile, and gulf shores is close to an hour south of I-10. Lulu's is a great place though! :D

One word for you: Guthrie's. Every year, my college and high school buddies get together for a golf outing. Last year, we all flew into Destin and rented a beach house. Not for the golf so much as for a chance to eat Guthrie's. Several of us are former Seminoles and the chance to drive over to Tallahassee for Guthrie's was enough to get us back into FL. Little did we know that Guthrie's now has a location in Destin!!!! Anyone from that area will look at you and smile when you mention Guthrie's. It's the greatest box of food on earth.

Get extra sauce.....

Man, I can't wait until we leave on the 19th!!! 8) I'll definately try to make the trip to Lulu's in Gulf Shores, although traveling 2 hours there and 2 hours back to eat will be slightly difficult to convince my friends to do. I wish there was some other "attraction" between there and Destin that we could go to. I want to also go to A.J.'s, since I've never been. I might have to do a drunk run through the drive-thru at Guthrie's one night too. Does anybody else have any other suggestions of what to do or where to go? What are the best restaurants and clubs in Panama City? What else would be a short day drive from Destin to visit?

The Backporch in Destin. Restaurant literally on the beach. You can walk up from the beacha nd order some drinks. Best part, tons of half naked chicks walking up from the beach to get hammered :P :pirate:
