Tweeter Center Mansfield, MA

Post by dawnf »

Anyone know if he is coming to the Tweeter Center in MA this year since he did Fenway last year I am not sure what the deal is. I also heard that the reason why he didn't go to Mansfield last year is becuase there is a huge golf tourament played in Norton & they bought rights to all the parking at the stadium, dont know if that is true. If it is I hope he just chooses another weekend. We have been going for at least 7 years!! :-?

Would have to assume that he's going back to Great Woods, but I doubt that it'll be over Labor Day weekend as I'm pretty sure he's planning on playing Wrigley Field over that weekend.

I read the rumor somewhere that he is looking into playing Gillette Stadium around the 4th of July. I doubt he'd do both Gillette and GW. Only time will tell, I guess.

The golf tourney is back again this Labor Day as well, so Great Woods is out as far as that weekend goes. The rumor is 7/4 in Foxboro.

One would think Jimmy would break out "The Night I Painted the Sky" for that show. That would be sweet. :)

Gillette would be awesome too!! Better than Fenway or no place in Boston at all!!

Gillette is bigger so more people should be able to get tix without going through the damn scalping ticjket brokers.

Tailgating @ Gillete Stadium would be insane. The lots were built for that. Word has it that Patriots ownership really wants to get Buffett there for a show. The place holds 68K, I wonder if it would be an all day event with multiple acts and Jimmy headlining?

Jimmy does love Boston, but he normally takes a few weeks after the Boston show to sail in Nantucket, it wouldnt surprise me if he tours all of June and takes most of July off before hitting the road again in August and finishing up on labor day in Chicago, Gillette stadium would be amazing but the problem is that Boston will only get one show instead of their normal two. An all day festival would be amazing, Kenney Chesney, Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Toby Keith, Clint Black, George Strait, and Nanci Griffith are all potential opening acts and available that date with tour dates nowhere near the proposed July fourth date. A show similar to the Texas Stadium show would be awesome. The only problem is that the Patriots only open thier parking lots three hours prior to a concert, hopefully the would change that policy for the parrotheads
