This is kinda like the religion thread. We're most likely NOT going to change each others' minds on this; people have some very strong opinions. But that doesn't mean we can't learn something through calm discussion, and see where people on the other side of the issue are coming from, even when we don't agree.

I think the bottom line is RESPECT for each other, despite differences of opinion.....

i think all the animosity we feel towards the husband is really just our anger at the situation and the lack of control to make it better. the human mind needs a villain.

that was kinda my point....were making him the bad guy casue we need a bad guy to point the finger at for blame....

the human mind has a hard time dealing with the fact that sometimes bad thigns happen to good people.

I don't see why. Bad things happen to good people all the time. In fact, I'm willing to bet that more bad things happen to good people than to the people that you might say deserve it. It's part of life and it sucks, but it's the way it is. I don't see why this situation is any different. It's just a bunch of hyper-sensitive pansies who can't get a grip on reality. And then Jeb uses it has a political tool to get all those pansies votes.

Sometimes morbid curiousity gets the better of people. Like I said in my followup post to it, I respect springparrot's (and everyone else's) opinion of it, that that's the exact reason it was posted as a link, not as an image. Maybe you don't want to see it.

The way I see it is if there's a disclamer and you click on it you have no right to complain. How many times did we hear our parents say " I told you not to......." with little sympathy because we just had to do something they said would hurt us. For me it's on the same line as people who complain about the governement but don't bother to vote.
