Join the Indianapolis area Parrot Heads to Party With A Purpose!
The PHINdy Parrot Head Club is hosting the First Annual Springer PHLing Charity event on Saturday, April 23, 2005 to raise money for the USA Track & Field’s Mark Springer Youth Travel Grant Fund.
Mark was an avid parrot head and the club’s Membership Director who passed away in December 2004 as a result of a tragic automobile accident. Mark's daytime job was the Director of the Grassroots Programs for the USA Track & Field who have established a fund in his memory. This fund will help provide travel assistance to disadvantaged youths participating in competitive Track & Field events.
The event is being held in a private tent at Indiana Downs (www.indianadowns.com) on Saturday, April 23, 2005. Live music featuring Don Middlebrook of Living Soul will entertain guests who will enjoy an evening of thoroughbred horse racing, food, fun and festivities benefiting a great cause. There will also be a HUGE silent auction in efforts to raise more money for the Mark Springer Youth Travel Grant!!! Tickets are $25 per person* and all proceeds will be donated to charity.
