Cincinnati and ballparks
Hey all,
The new tour dates and all the new ballparks got me thinking about the surely soon-to-be released Cincinnati tour date, or if we're lucky, dateS with an S. Either way, did I read something about Jimmy not abandoning Riverbend because they sort of helped him get started at big venues when he moved over from Kings Island way back probably long before I was born LOL? Also, I wonder, would I rather see him at Great American Ballpark or a classic like Riverbend? There's something enticing about a $4 hotdog, an $8 cold beer, and a sweltering June evening inside a ballpark along the banks of the Ohio dancing to One Particular Harbor, you know? And hey, he broke the Curse for the Sox last year, he's going to help the Cubbies out this year, and let's be honest, the good 'ol Reds could use some help too. I love the city of Cincinnati, and I know it's a small market, but as the birthplace of Parrotheadism, couldn't we get either a ballpark show or at least two shows at Riverbend. Or we could go WAY back and pack into Kings Island: JB and CRB in front of the Eiffel Tower at Kings Island! Cincinnati is a pirate town and we need our favorite pirate here for 2 shows!
Ok, I've made my point, I guess I'm finished.

Oh, yesterdays are over my shoulder,
So I can't look back for too long.

Buffett at GAB would be cool. My brother lives in Covington and is a 5 minute walk away. I have been to several Reds games there, as I am a huge Reds fan. I did go to a Bengals game this year as well, wearing my Dallas Jersey and I was rather unimpressed with the Bengal fans. Probably the rudest that I have ever been treated at a sporting event. Especially considering that the Bengals have never won Jack!! That is my only complaint about Cincy. Other than the one experience It's been great each time. I absolutely hate Riverbend though. If their original plan was to design a venue in which the people in the lawn could not see the stage, then I commend them on a job well done. Otherwise, that is a place that needs to be leveled and turned into a parking lot!! However, the tailgating was absolutely wonderful!!!! Probably the best tailgaiting I have ever seen.

So far, it appears the Phillies, Pirates, AND Cubbies will all win the Series this year....c152pilot7 wrote: he's going to help the Cubbies out this year

We heard that the Reds had sent Jimmy an invite a couple of years ago
to play GAB in its first year. But the next year, he decided to do the Red Sox park. I think a show at GAB would be great! The facility itself is awesome! Pholks on the "lawn" would have the best seats!! Maybe the Reds will invite him again....? Of course the parking and tailgating might be a little challenging, but I think in Boston they figured it out!
