I posted it as a joke. And as for the population loving part...you know better than to include me in that.

The Gorge is a great place to see a concert. It has it's drawbacks though. If the weather is dry bring a hospital type mask for the walk out you wouldn't freaking believe the dust that gets kicked up. Also spray bottles (empty) fill em up with water inside and use em to cool down. Another trick in the heat is to put two headbands for each person in your group in a small ice chest with ice water. Wring one out and place it on your head to keep you cool. Exchange it when it stops helping.

Red Rocks

Had a chance to see the Grateful Dead there in '79 but was unable to make it. Dammit. Hope to be able to take in the sights someday.

yeah, there is a reason why the Air Force uses Fairchild AFB for its Survival School... that whole stretch of eastern WA from the river to about 20 miles west of Spokane is some seriously-inhospitable country.

Red Rocks is incredible!
Had the chance to see it as I was travelling across the West a few years back.
I just had to stop and see this natural beauty!
Just sitting in the empty stands, I could "hear" so many of the great bands that have performed and recorded there over the years..... U2, Moody Blues, Dave Matthews Band, Jimmy.... 8)
$#@&...only Vegas again?? Padres ...gotta start believin'!Bring on '14 Spring Training!

I've seen man, many, many concerts there. It's AMAZING. Also had my high-school graduation there. Prolly made out in the parking lot more there than anywhere else all through school.

I grew up not 5 minutes from there! It's one of my favorite places to be in the whole world!

The surroundings would be nice...if someone didn't drop an ampitheater in the middle of it.

The surrounding would be nice if there was actually a mountain nearby
