Left Field
I don't know why everyone is reporting that the other gates were wide open...We waited at the Left field gate for over an hour. It was so packed, and people were stepping on all of the bottles that had spilled out of the garbage. People were falling left and right. This was my 20th show. I had seen 12 previous at Star Lake, and thought this would be so cool. Security was so rude too. I agree. Oh well....

We enjoyed hanging out with you prior to the concert. Glad to hear that your seats turned out to be so good!OhioJBFan wrote:We were back home in Ohio around 1:00 pm today. I just wanted to say that we had a BLAST! It was so awesome to meet Fanvan and his crew. Thank you so much for the hospitality. You guys are such a great bunch!
I thought the concert was one of the best I'd been to in a long time. We had no trouble getting in or out of PNC. We thought the security was very lax. They didn't check or ask about anything. Our seats were phenominal! 5 Rows from the stage cannot be beat! Although it was unbelieveably hot, we still had a great time. It was great to meet so many other BNers. We just come from everywhere. Buffalo, Ohio, North Carolina, New Jersey, Texas! Thanks for adding to our Buffett Memories. Hope to meet up again at another concert in the future!![]()
Four Play and Mrs., you two must have a blast everywhere you go. Very nice to meet you both.

It was a pleasure and a hell of a weekend...
LesPaul30 - Thanks again!
Fanvan and crew - thanks for the hospitality. You guys know how to party! Have fun on your hiking trip. Tell Debbie she can be on Palm Tree Duty any time! She's got my early vote for taking on the project next year...
Tallship38 and 1more - thanks for feeding us...our tatoos are still intact.
BigPhan and Mr. Phan - thank you for taking our cooler! It stinks that yours got stolen during the show.
Pirateat50 - I wouldn't have put you a day over 40 myself!
Spainjane and Bartender Hubby - I still think you got my hotel room
And tell T to get his ass on here, he can use Mr. T for his screen name - I've got the perfect picture!
Here are a few highlights from the trip. Pictures to follow in the next few days...
Saturday
The Up And Down Tour is not to be missed.
Basically you start at the Monongahela Incline, ride to the top, walk up and down some hills for about a mile in 90 degree weather looking for a place to eat lunch, only to realize they're only open for dinner. Then, you ride the Duquesne Incline back down and walk along the river the same distance. At least it's flat, but beware of the mosh pits...
SOASOAPT busted a nut at Margarita Mama's Saturday night - somebody ripped a coconut off but I reattached it the next morning. I might have a future in vasectomy reversal...
We got a chance to meet Jimmy (sort of) - he left a message on my phone for the Balcony Girls. First Charleston tried to keep Jimmy moving, but when Jimmy heard it was the Balcony Girls on the phone he stopped in his tracks and grabbed it. BG didn't get the message though, because the wrong number was programmed in (it wasn't my fault!) Also got to chat with Mac and Utley briefly and get a picture...
From there we took the scenic tour in a cab (since the Up And Down Tour was such a success). That was the funniest cab ride I've ever had - thanks for the laughs David and T!
Sunday
If you want to park as a group at PNC, you have to play a game called "Hide The Convertible". It helps if you have 2 scantily clad women distracting the Parking Nazi while you sneak the car across the lot behind the RV. Persistence pays off in this game. You have to be sneaky with EZ Ups too - "No sunshade for you!"...
We didn't ride from Station Square, but the tubing was a blast - one of the best ideas I've ever had. I should've brought life jackets though - I now have it on good authority that it's against the law to ride behind a boat without them, even at idle speed
Oh well, we helped another boater get his vessel inspected during Safe Boating week!
We also had problems with the staff before and after the concert. It would've been better getting in if I hadn't been trying to sneak in SOASOAPT. The first inspector told me I had to deflate it, so I got back in line and made it to the front. Meanwhile he changed his mind, so I got in another line and hid it. I got the palm tree in, but don't ask me where it's been
I couldn't get rid of my 4th row tickets, so big hat carmen and capt. cougie sat in the front row. Thanks to fins2thenorth (aka Front Row Ed) for holding them for me for so long...
The concert was awesome. Woman Going Crazy was everything I expected, and He Went To Paris was amazing. At one point Jimmy hit a beach ball back into the crowd with his guitar and I got it on video with my cell phone...

My first concert was awesome!! Friend & I entered home plate entrance
at 5:20...waited 15min. in line to reach ticket taker only to have a red
light come on when ticket was inserted meaning a no go. Almost had
heart attack! Told to go to another window down the block. Learned
speakers would block view...got upgraded to better seats
We
entered at gate there...waited about 5 min. to get in because there just weren't that many waiting to enter even at 5:45 !! I didn't want to
miss anything. I can't believe it's over & I'm home...waiting for another concert....

I agree I can't believe it's over already either. I don't know about anybody else but I thought the concert went pretty fast. I couldn't believe how fast intermission went. Thats alright though I needed a beer from all that singingwarmsugar wrote:My first concert was awesome!! Friend & I entered home plate entrance

I thought the show was totally awsome! I lost it during He Went to Paris!! I didn't get a chance to meet as many of you as I wanted to - timing just wasn't there. I met Little Miss Magic 22 at the Red Star Tavern in Station Square - was there eating lunch and listening to Buffett Man, Tom Watt - always a good show. I didn't see anyone else until we got to our seats - section E, 20 rows back. I then spotted SOASOAPT - I had to go sign him and see who I could meet. I briefly met Big Hat Carmen. Four Play was with SOASOAPT, but he was quite busy at the moment. We couldn't make the parking lot scene - hubby is diabetic and he had to have some food and cool air. We'll be in Chicago over Labor Day, so possibly another opportunity. I sure would have liked to see the tubing excursion - that's classic!!!!
A bad day on vacation is always better than a good day at work!

Fun Time
Great show!! Loved the outdoor venue, concert under the open sky, what could be better? Great meeting the BN people, found most of the pittsburgh residents very friendly.
Thanks to Big Hat Carmen and the Captain for making 'keets feel at home.
( wife cant wait for the next show)
