I couldn't find this mentioned anywhere on BN, so I thought I'd bring it up...

Has there ever been any consideration given to getting Jimmy Buffett a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame? From what I understand, all it takes is for a fan club to nominate him, and the cost is $15,000. A large group of people might be able to pull that off....

With people like Jim Gray (the idiot sportscaster) getting stars, why not Jimmy???

This would be the right time...he's riding the biggest wave of success of his career.

Las Vegas actually has started a walk of stars as well......its pretty much the same thing as Hollywood and they hope to have as many as 3000 stars at some point. I've actually looked into getting Jimmy a star, but haven't made a submission yet. Here's a link to what they look for.....

Just like Hollywood, it does take $15,000 to fund the star......but if we could get one approved outside Margaritaville.....I bet corporate sponsors would step up to help cover that (Corona, Margaritaville Tequila, Flamingo, Krispy Kreme, etc.)

I'm glad this thread was started....it has reminded me to put together a submission for Jimmy.
