Here are a few pictures we took of him a Country Stampede in Manhattan a few years ago. My sister tossed a wildcat up on stage during the concert. He grabbed it and held it up for the crowd, everybody went crazy.

He was the best, right up there with JB. I saw him several times, and usually right up front, even got his autograph on a copenhagen can. I will truly miss ole Bareback Jack.

Chris LeDoux's autograph on a can of copenhagen...now that's cool :D Kind of like having a Mickey Mantle autographed baseball, or a Michael Jackson autograph on a 12 year old :-? :D Sorry...the thought was in my head, so I had to say it :-?

Sail on Chris...You'll be missed by all.

This man put on an outstanding concert. We had planned on seeing him in August at a rodeo in Sikeston, MO.

I'm happy to say I met him a couple times and he even signed my Cowboy Hat.

He'll be missed.

He's still out there ridin' fences
Still makes his living with a rope
As long as theres a sunset
He'll be ridin' towards the Grand
You just can't see him from the road......Chris Ledoux :(

Everywhere I see a post about Chris, I see these lyrics. I couldn't think of any better.

Growing up in Wyoming, I remember discovering Chris in the late Seventies. Songs like Copenhagen, Strawberry Roan to name a few. I have driven by his ranch on several occasions, now it will be hard to do, knowing his not there. He was true an original, a one of a kind. Not only will his style of music be missed, but so will he. He contributed a lot to everybody, including the small town of Kaycee. We all should take a page from his book. Chris, like Jimmy, living life on his terms

God Bless Sail on Chris

Finally, I'm starting to see some of his videos on TV. Tomorrow at 12:30 Central time CMT is going to have a piece on him, and at I think 8:00 Central on GAC they are going to have his last interview.

With all the videos and talk about him it's broght back some good memories. I saw Five Dollar Fine today. It reminded back during my first year of college I had a friend that was always complaining. So one night I grabbed an old jar I had laying around and slapped the sign on there. The next party we had so I put it in front of him and made him pay up, he whined about that so I made him pay again. We all had a pretty good laugh at that.

Country-music star Chris LeDoux, who had more influence on modern country than even his legions of hard-core fans would reflect, died Wednesday March 9, 2005 in Casper, Woming. He was 56.

Radio JimmyDreamz will air the Time After Island Show on Saturday night at 8pm. At 9pm Saturday there will be a 30 minute radio tribute to Chris LeDoux.

I rodeoed with Chris back in the day. Even sang a song or 2 with him. His Mom and Dad used to sell his cassettes at rodeos. Sail on mi amigo.

WOW, that's incredibly depressing, I am not a huge country fan and yet I had a chance to catch him several times at local fairs, he will be missed.

Cadillac Ranch was about the only song of his I ever heard... It was a pretty good song... I thought he was younger than Garth though, and Garth gave him a break, but I guess I was wrong... (I never researched it, I was still a youngin')

Chris was best known for Cadillac Ranch and What you gonna do with a cowboy

he had his own "yellow album" of songs to hear in concert

But He sang about Rodeos and Being a buckaroo as well
or better than anyone.. probably better.

and hands down the best 'western" songwriter/singer
