2 Tweeter Shows, MA and 1 Mohegan Sun, CT - It's Official

I just noticed that the rumor mill has moved the show from Gillette Stadium on July 4th to the Tweeter Center, Mansfield MA on June 20th (Mon) and June 22nd (Wed). There is also a date for June 17th (Fri) at the Mohegan Sun in CT.

It makes, somewhat sense as we (New England) got our stadium show last year

I have been there for 2 boxing matches...the arena is small but not bad. It is also right off the casino floor. You walk out of the arena 20 steps and you are at the blackjack tables.

And they could charge Las Vegas style prices!

just about.... I've considered concerts there by other artists, but the ticket prices were always pretty high, so I decided against it.

Where exactly is Uncasville, CT? I tried to get directions from Long Island and mapquest came back with an error message that it couldn't find the location I was looking for.

For you, Larry, about 15-20 minutes from the Ferry terminal, if that.... :P

It's a 10,000 seat arena, so on the small side. Every seat is therefore relatively close to the stage. For other concerts I've been to there, seating is sold behind the stage.

If you haven't been to the Mohegan Sun before, it would be worth the trip just to see it. I would guess, no tailgating allowed.

A wicked p*** is right

I'm a member of the OSPHC. We're trying to get some kind of confirmation on this. I've checked all the usual websites for info but none of the venues or tix svcs have anything yet. Let's keep each other in the loop!

Great Woods - hallelujah!

Mohegan Sun show doesn't add up to me.

I'm glad he's returning to Great Woods, but on the other hand, I am really bummed...I think a 4th of July show at Gillette Stadium would have been absolutely killer. I think it would have been a great...probably pretty easy to get tickets, far from the city, ten minutes away from Great Woods, huge parking lot (bigger than Great Woods) and a shiny new stadium with grade A sound. Hmmm...I'm not going to complain because I love GW, but I think the Gillette shows would have been awesome. Although...Parroteheads in the lot, with 4th of july fireworks, and booze...is that a good mix??? Hehehe

Mohecan Sun is a pretty good place to see a concert. Not a really bad seat in the house. And Mohecan Sun is a way nicer place than Foxwoods. But I don't think these rumors are true and that he'll play there.

It does sound a little odd.....

What if someone mixed up the rumors.....? What if it's Kenny who's looking at Mohegan Sun and GW? :o :o

<<---running for my life..... :P :o

It would be foolish to even think about going to Mohegan Sun instead of Great Woods. If you have the time and can get tix, go to Mansfield. Or you could go all out and go to all three.

Man, I hope this rumor is true! I could care less about Mohegan, but I am dying to go back to the Great Woods paaaking lots! :D :D :D :D

This is GW's 20th anniversary year. Jimmy has played there every year since it opened except last year. I hope the rumors are true, and Jimmy's coming back "home" to GW. :D
