Notes for other posters:
1. Limo area is really bad.
2. Bus area is really good.
3. VIP parking area is really bad. Just go for the normal free stuff if you want to have fun.
So psyched he's back at Tweeter. I skipped last year at Fenway, which was the first year I've missed since 93, most years taking in multiple shows.
First time at a Buffett show and first time at GW. I decided to go with the VIP parking because my love has arthritis and thought it would be a shorter walk back to the car after the show. The girl likes to dance so she'll probably be hurting a little toward to end.
Is the VIP parking area a long way from where you all will be? Should we just park in the regular area? She has a handicapped parking sticker. Does that help us out ?
Just a newbie with sooo many questions.
After a weekend of Jell-O shot testing we're down to two recipes. Cherry banana with coconut rum and Watermelon with Cruzan dark. Any thoughts on which way to go? We would really like to continue testing next weekend so ideas would be most welcome.
Unless they have changed it in the last year the VIP parking is the fartherest lot away from the venue entrance.
Thanks for the heads up. Are VIP parking and Premier parking the same thing? I think we just got taken for $30.
I don't know but if would guess yes.
I know the VIP lot is a new lot they made about 2-3 years ago. It is on the left as you pull into GW. You are isolated from the rest of the lots. The one and only good thing is you are out quick when the show is over.
I have not been to GW since 2003 so could have changed things so you should call.

For those of you who plan on meeting early and tailgaiting as a group let me know.. I will work with the people who have done this in the past and will get the exact time and location to meet and will let everyone know.
As far as tailgating as a group.. Last year at Jones Beach it worked well.. everyone signed up for something (except beverages, you brought your own). We ended up having more then enough food to go around but we also had a list of who was bringing what... I plan on bringing a pasta salad and possibly something else. Are we interested in doing it this way?
As far as the rest of the tailgating goes..
I know BOR will have a bar.. (I hope sand too! my feet loved it last year!)
I will have about 4 chairs and the beer pong table..
Who's bringing the grill?
what is everyone else bringing?!?!
Also I'm in the process of putting together a cellphone list for this show.. if you want on PM me with your details. I will send the list out a few days before the show.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
See y'all in a few days!!
Bar: Yes.
Sand: Maybe
I am off to Chicago tomorrow morning when I return I will look into the sand.

Hi all-
I'm new to the board but have been on this website many times before. 2 more weeks exactly until Buffett is at Great Woods. Hopefully the weather will be as nice then as it is today.
This is my 10th year or so going-and I'll be with a group of friends. We were looking for more people to meet up with because it's always better in a big group. If anyone is looking for more people to meet up with-we would love to join in!!!! We're hoping to be be up there at 10-10:30 at the latest.

Great enthusiasm, and love the name, but unfortunately they usually don't open the lots up until somewhere after noon, so 10-1030 might be tough.

Yea, the parking lot will be open by 10:00. At least every other year it has been. Hopefully this year will be no different.
For those newcomers to the Great Woods area-I would recommend that you get there earlier than later. The whole right side of the parking lot is the best part--it's closer to the RV's and the buses.
Can't wait to see everyone there!! Less than 2 weeks. ~Go Sox!!!~

yup. you need to be in the right lane after you make the turn into GW. they're not going to let you park just anywhere; the TELL you where to park, so you have to be together and in the correct lane.

Well, you are welcome to join us. Some people are meeting prior to going in and driving in together so everybody can park together Hopefully going in to the lot by 10.
MA_Buffett_Fan23 wrote:MIKE?!?!?!?! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! Where are we meeting?!?!?!
Hey guys, sorry to be repetitive but I never really got an answer to my question before. If no one knows anything about this then sorry for the repeat.
I got another Great Woods question. I am planning on parking my car in a pay lot past Great Woods. In the past I have parked on peoples lawns and I have noticed that there is a mini golf course just past great woods that does this too. I am doing this because I take backroads to Great Woods and they usually route the traffic the opposite way that I want to go and I am just going to meet up with people already in the lot. My question is if I get to the stadium around 1 or 2 do you think those private lots will be available or do you think that they will not be open then.

I'm fun! And will have jello shots!!!! But seriously, give oyur contact info to our friend doing the cell phone list... It'll make it easier to meet up with us!
Is everyone still planning on meeting at the shopping plaza near Great Woods early in the morning?
If so, is there a time that everyone is meeting?
A week and a half to go...can't wait!!
