I lived in Tennessee and Georgia for several years-I know what you mean.

These are probably the same morons who move to YOUR area and want you make flying the confederate flag equal to flying the nazi swatztika, saying it's a symbol of RACISM, never mind a symbol of your southern heritage.
People from up here always wondered how I was never offended when I saw a born-and-raised southerner carrying a confederate flag.
I'd always reply "The same way southerners never seemed to be offended whenever I wore an Iowa t-shirt."

JACK DANIELS FOR YOUR MEN AND BUDWEISER FOR YOUR HORSES IT IS!!! :D

AMEN! you know something, I am 29 years old and not once have I met a southerner who got offended about anything. They just tell you to have a nice day and "bless your little heart", and why yankees may think we are being nice to them by saying that you and I know what it actually means.

That is why I love living here for now, we speak our minds and if your offended by what you hear either cover your ears or get your ass on i-81 and i-95 north.

Nope! I'm too busy enjoying life to get offended by every little thing that's said to me or about me.

I'm 53 years old, and I haven't gotten to live this long by accident.
One thing that DOES offend me is when a-holes like this Atlanta courthouse murderer gets let go because he's been a "victim of a cruel society."
When he assumes room temperature, I'll drink a CASE of budweiser for you.

Bless you my elder statesman :D

speaking of victim crap, the media here really p*** me off about things, I admit I live on the yuppie side of town, hey i got a family to take care of i am a country boy but I know the good and bad parts of town to live :)

Anyway a couple weeks ago, this 18 year old kid went out partying and having a jolly good time and preceded to drive home without a seatbelt and drunk as a skunk. He was on a little two lane country road and got into an accident, he ran into a house, he hit the house so hard it knocked it off its foundation and they had to condem it after they got the boy out. This kids parents were very well off to say the least so you know where this is going. The boy died last week and instead of the news treating it the way it actually was, a rich kid driving drunk crashing into a house, they made him the victim and everyone wanted a pitty party for him. If that was in the middle of the hood they would have reported it as a moron that shouldn't have been allowed to get behind the wheel.

Someone at work asks me the next day did you hear the terrible news about the boy, I said yeah the little butthead knew the consiquences did it anyway and paid his life for it, one less punk to put up with in this world.

What happened to personal responsibilty in this country. Everyone wants to blame someone else and if you even think about confronting someone about it they have a lawyer up your ass faster than you can get into your car. Sorry had to rant a bit :)

we had a car hit my house last year.. ( I live in a 4 plex)

the guy bats for the rainbow team and is taking some expermintal
drugs
so there are 3 stories (well 4 really)
he was drunk and hit the house
he was on this drug cocktail that makes him lose control sometimes
he was tired (4;30 AM)
and the last one??? from one of my inside sources
he meant to hit the tree and kill himself..

I could not even find the news story in the paper the next day
He hit the house so hard the the underpinings were moved 37 inches
they said another 3-4 MPH and the house would have been gone..

that is exactly my point, if you lived in trailer park land or the hood every news crew for 300 miles would have been at your house investigating the crash. Did the fruitcake in the kitchen take a dirt nap or are we as taxpayers still paying for his pathetic butt

he did not even get hurt, when I was walking outside he was on his phone and slapping the cops hands whenever the officer tried to help him to the Paramedic rig..
