Alpine Valley is being plowed under to make way for a new shopping mall. There will be no shows this year.

Next year, however, Tiffany is rumored to play....

Seriously, though, Lori...there are already about 10 threads here discussing this...we have an inside contact at Alpine. WHile there is still a possibility of NO Alpine show, he has told us that we should know one way or another within a week...check back here: http://www.buffettnews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31326

And, while it's not a Margaritaville....we are getting a Cheeseburger In Paradise in Brookfield in November!

Captain P, Funny you should say that. I remember taking my little sister back in I think it was 1990 or something like that coulda been the 80s--to Alpine Valley to see Tiffany with a very horrible boy band opening up for her... New Kids on the Block.

Nail in the Alpine Coffin?

Post by tbone1927 »

I wish my first post to the board was not so negative, but I a good friend delivered the bad news tonight. He is a big wig with Miller, always hooks up top notch tix to JB, anyhow Corona informed him this week, no show at Alpine. Things could change, but it looks like the overhyped yuppies of Wrigley have killed us this summer. Oh well, they could use a little pick me up, they do have to endure the lovable losers (at least we in cheese country don't overpay so much for our losers!). Now I'm really going to have to cut loose in vegas! Hope against Hope!

Hey, Tbone...my Bigwig can beat up your Bigwig!!!!

Seriously, though. We have a member of the board here that is a Bigwig with Alpine Valley itself. He has told us as recently as Yesterday that, while there is still a chance there will be no Alpine show, negotiations indeed are continuing. Keep your phins crossed!!!!!

I haven't heard any different lately. No discussions as of today and none planned. Stadium shows have killed Alpine and so has his popularity.
'Til one night he did find her
in the arms of Shrimper Dan....

How boring can it be surrounded by 1000 screaming, pre-teen queens wanting to see their idol? :D

Well, now that there will NOT be a show at Alpine Valley. This is one more reason for this sox phan to hate the tribune & the cubs. I am a beer vendor at Wrigley Field. Dealing with the tribune for years has left a bitter taste. The tribune might have made a deal that no other shows will be played in the area for rights to play at Wrigley. This way they will have tons of phans fighting for seats. The tribune also owns their own scalping business. ( wrigley field prieum seats) Before every home game the tribune has at least 200 prime seats for sale. What a scam. Anything over face value they get to keep. Just what the phans deserve :x

What does the stadium concert have to do with Alpine? Alpine is the largest outdoor concert venue in the midwest, 35,000 tickets will be sold.

Why would JB not play there?
