As I a stated before, I know The person in charge contracts with clear channel in the Midwest. He has stated that at this time no talks have even come up concerning Alpine and as of now the closest he will probably get is Wrigley. Hold on to your false hopes if you wish, but dont count on it. By the way Dave B. ...are you ready for buffett. If you want I'll get some Wrigley tickets...how many do you want?

What I don't understand is that Alpine is currently holding 4 dates for Buffett so how can there be no talks??

This is just another case of "My inside source can beat up Your inside source."

Stay tuned.

I'll admit, my usual source of info has been quiet.

On the other hand, since we have a regular poster here who is a big-wig at Alpine Valley, and he says that negotiations are ongoing, I'm going to believe that there is still a chance.

Sorry, Shrimper Dan.

Brian, head of Alpine Valley security, is hands down the BEST & most reliable source.

That doesn't sound good...I've never seen Buffett at Alpine but saw other shows there growing up. It sounds like such a sacred site...but is Buffett sending a message that nothing/nowhere is sacred? (no Great Woods one year, no Alpine the next).

What I'm most worried about is upset Alpine fans puting yet another curse on the Cubs and :( then they'll never win because not even Jimmy can break through so many curses. :o :-?

Speaking of curses, has anybody ever wondered why, when Jimmy has played at Alpine all these years, he's never broken the Brewers curse? :-?

But seriously-it really ISN'T looking good for an Alpine concert. In years past, it's either been announced by mid February at the latest, with tickets going on sale by the middle of March. We're nearly at the END of March, and nobody seems to know anything. Except that no date has been announced. :(

And it ain't over now, cuz when the going gets tough...

dramatic pause

Let's go! aaaaaaaaahhh
You’re still grinning, we’re still winning, nothing left to say
