If that is the case DINO, where are the thousands of upper MidWesterners going to get their Buffett Fix?
I do not think we will all fit into Wrigley. Maybe Jimmy is going to do like he did in 2001 and play the northern states in the fall?
While I do not want to miss Alpine, A closer to home date at the Target Center or Excel would work even though I like the roadtrip with the Boys.

True bummer, Alpine friends. :(

No Irvine.... no Alpine.... what a long, strange summer it'll be....

head for Wrigley and hope he returns next year!
Carry on as you know they would want you to do. ~~JB, dedication to Tim Russert

Well, there you go. No Alpine. Indy is too late in the fall. I'm boycotting Wrigley. Looks like no Jimmy for me this year. Good thing I've got my Key West trip to look forward to.

Let's hope this is the worst thing that happens to all of us this summer. It could always be a lot worse. 8)

Amen, to comment #2. As disappointing as it would be to go without Alpine, there are many, many worse things is life. We gotta keep some perspective, here.

As for boycotting Wrigley, please reconsider.... I considered skipping Fenway last year, then decided to go and make the very best of it. It wasn't Great Woods, I did miss the parking lot, but I still had a BLAST!!!

If I had to choose one, single event a year, I'd be seriously hard pressed to choose between a JB show and MOTM.... there's SO much GREAT music and SO many terrific friends in KW that weekend!!

When I grew up and not older
I asked my Jimmy
What lies ahead
Will we have Alpine
Fun in the sun
Here is what Buffett said

Que sera, sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Que sera, sera
What will be, will be
You’re still grinning, we’re still winning, nothing left to say
I’m still gliding as I go flying down this endless wave

Jimmy Buffett and Alpine Valley officials owe us an explanation on why there will be no concert. That's the least they could do us at the point.

Nobody owes you anything. Get over it.
It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend
