I remember the last time that JB played at the amphitheatere in Charlotte (2002?), a lot of people on here had a really bad experience, and many claimed they would never go back. Looking at James Taylor's tour dates, the Charlotte date on July 30 looks tempting to me, but it says the venue is unknown. I know it will be a great show if it's at the coliseum (I was there last year for the JB show, and it was a great place for a show), but as soon as I thought about the possiblity of it being at the amphitheatere, I immediately thought of all the negative posts I saw here.
For those of you who have been to the amphitheatere in Charlotte, have you had a good or bad experience? And, for those who had a bad experience, what exactly was the problem?
Thanks in advance.

I only hopew Mr. Taylor comes off better than he did last show there where he was an arrogant a$$. The place is nice, they had zero port a johns last time and 8 dollar beers is ridiculous. There is a reason we only hit the Jimmy shows. The ultimate in price gouging.

The biggest problem last time was no tailgaiting and no drinking in the parking lot.
Additionally, the last concert was on the heels of 9/11 and the security check really bogged down. Many had to stand in line at the gates and hear JB for 30 minutes b4 they could get in.
JT on the lawn in the middle of the summer is a great thing as long as your wallet can handle the 8 beers. Get there early, as traffic b4 the concert can be a problem
