And I'm a Brewers fan...talk about long-suffering, at least the Sox win more than 60 games a year!
Hey, I was just answerin' the man's question!
Yeah, but do the Brewers sell out when they're losing?
Actually, more power to anyone who is a true fan (do I DARE use that term? ) of any team. Who sticks with them through thick and thin, bad seasons and good. To find the real fans, look at who's left when a below-.500 team is down 15-3 in the bottom of ninth.... The ones left in the stands are real fans.

Now, now, be nice..... (wait, stop right there.... WHAT am I thinking? )
Most of the inhabitants of Red Sox Nation have been fans since they were born, like me.
Before you go postal on me, the Tigers are my second favorite AL team. It's a sad thing that I never got to see them play in Tigers Stadium.
OTOH, if the Sox are playing the Tigers, blood is thicker than water.....
Where were all of these members of the Red Sox nation before last year??
actually I am the creator of "everything and anything baseball thread" which was created back in 2001. Most of the talk back then was also about the Sox. Funny I don't remember you talking baseball then
I said it back then and I will say it again, you should have put a copyright on that topic name.
And back in 2001 there was no Off Topic Area on BN so the baseball thread was one of the few non-Buffett topics here. It was located under Jimmy Buffett Discussions....and if I recall correct that thread lead to the creation of the BN OFF TOPIC AREA........
I only have 1 Tiger on my Roto League team this year....Mike Maroth. I've had Bonderman the last couple years, but I wasn't willing to pay $20 for him this year, even though I think he'll be really good.

I spent my 40th birthday alone in Fenway Park at a Sox/Tigers game. A MOST excellent day, even if the Tigers did win in extra innings.
Weren't you just saying the Sox sell out everygame, win or lose?

`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

Touché....
It was sold out...... but it was early May, and plenty of fair weather fans ran for it when it started getting late... Twelve innings, if I remember correctly. It was great!

those are the best games. If it goes past 12 innings (regular season of course) and it's a night game I always walk over and they let me in for free because people leave and end up watching the game 2 rows off the field.
As for the Tiger discussion I always liked Doyle Alexander... that's it.
I went to a Brewers game at Miller Park in 2002 and when I bought the tickets I had to supply my email address. Biggest regret of my life. For the past 3 years they have sent me email after email about eveything to due with Milwaukee Brewer baseball. I've tried several times to get off the list but it's like the plaque, the emails just keep coming back. I don't care that the Brewers will elect Harvey Kuenn to the Brewers walk of fame... I'm not sure anybody else does either.

Don't you have a "block sender" function on your e-mail?
