Thief Steals Poop From Woman Walking Dog
Police Searching for Gunman Who Ran Up to a Woman While She Was Walking Her Dog and Grabbed a Bag of Poop
The Associated Press

SAN DIEGO Mar 31, 2005 — This mugger was left holding a bag he didn't really want.

Police said they were searching for a gunman who ran up to a woman while she was walking her dog Monday night and grabbed the bag she was holding. It contained poop.

When the gunman discovered what was in it, he threw it down in disgust, pointed his gun at the 32-year-old woman and demanded money, San Diego police detective Gary Hassen said.

He then aimed his .22-caliber semiautomatic at the dog, named Misty, and pulled the trigger twice but the gun didn't fire, Hassen said. The robber, who was believed to be in his 20s, ran to a waiting small, silver car and fled, police said.

As much fun as it is to poke fun at you reddnekk, things like this raise your value for entertainment purposes alone. Now I will save you the time. The mugger in the article must have been one of my past students.

Who the hell even owns a .22 semi??? They have to be the least reliable gun you can find. I'd be more intimidated by a guy with a butter knife.

We've seen pictures. I don't think a butter knife has ever intimidated you.

Frank 1 exception to that rule an old Colt woodsman... they got more than 1 airman out of the woods.

Ok, exception noted. I'll still take a revolver every day of the week over any semi in .22 caliber. Those cheap rimfire cartridges are just way too dirty, and cause too may jam-ups in a semi-auto.

There are more exceptions
Sturm Ruger, Browning has or had an execllent model the "Buckmark", Walther, there are numerous others.
These are not the lowend priced weapons. There is a conversion kit for the M1911 to .22 that has been used as a trainer at one time that also makes the M1911 more versatile.

I have fired all of these and others with good quality ammo,I purchased over the counter and never had any problems. They were all highly accurate and reliable( Stay away from the brand of Winchester "Wildcats"!) I had a brick them and way to many missfires ( they did not go bang.)
Federal/Remington,and other Winchester ammo had no problems.
The ammo burned clean and did not foul the weapon

With semiautomatics there are basicaly only three malfunctions
1.bad magazine
2.bad ammo
3.dirty weapon

Any ove of these are usually the problem and readily fixed, but sometimes parts inside the weapon will break.

BTW Most revolvers have more moving parts than a semiautomatic leaving room for more to go wrong .......something to think about....
Roll with the punches, play all of your hunches...come what may...
