Our Lady Peace - Naveed

Now there's a flood out in California and up north it's freezing cold
And this living on the road is getting pretty old
So I guess I'll call up my big mama, tell her I'll be rolling in
But you know, deep down, I'm kind of tempted
To go and see my Bessie again.

The only song I can think of with Bessie in the song is Up On Cripple Creek by The Band... and I believe that's the answer. Can you varify this Cate? 8)

In the end it comes down to your thinkin'
And there's really nobody to blame
When it feels like your ship is sinking
And you're too tired to play the game

Nobody's going to help you
You just got to stand up alone
And dig in your heels and see how it feels
To raise a little hell of your own

It was The Band, td . . . good call.

Yours is Raise A Little Hell by Trooper. I think they still tour!!!!!

We sat around at night and talked about so many things
lay on the floor till the morning appeared
you laughed at me and said I just don't get it
you said we should be making plans for getting out of here

in natural selection
I've avoided all detection
and the tender bits underneath
all with window dressing and
calculated guessing
and a bark bigger than my teeth
Dumb and drunk as I was, you know I would do it all again.

Someone Who's Cool- The Odds... I was thinking it was them or Sloan, but I didn't think Sloan was from Vancouver.

Oh, when you decide that what counts is inside
Your friends all say it's a lie
But there's no brighter light than the look in her eyes
When you're walking her home through the night

It's late now
And there's only four hours 'til I get up again
You know I'd wait somehow
If I thought this was something
That a little time would mend
