Love you, Ty!

The song was Carry Me by The Stampeders . . .

You have a go. I'm busy in the kitchen making good things for a party this evening.

The only Stampeders song I know is Sweet City Women, but then again if you don't know that one you're not really Canadian.

Anything plain can be lovely
Anything loved can be lost
Maybe I lost my direction
What if our love is the cost?
Anyone perfect must be lying
Anything easy has its cost
Anyone plain can be lovely
Anyone loved can be lost
What if I lost my direction?
What if I lost a sense of time?
What if I nurse this infection?
Maybe the worst is behind

And the sun is shining
In this rainy city
And the sun is shining
Ooh isn't it a pity?
That every year has it's share of tears
Every now and then it's gotta rain

Trooper-We're Here For A Good Time(Not A Long Time)

Goodbye Mama
Goodbye to you to Pa
Little sister you'le have to wait awhile
to come along
Goodbye to this house with all it's memories
We all just got to bold to say we're wrong

Well, Cockburn used to play at my university often (Acadia, Wolfville, NS) as did Valdy, Gene McLellan (sp?) and Murray McLachlan . . .

Maybe Murray??

God damn them all!
I was told we'd cruise the seas for American gold
We'd fire no guns-shed no tears
Now I'm a broken man on a Halifax pier

And when he knew for certain
Only drowning men could see him
He said "All men will be sailors then
Until the sea shall free them . . .
