The FINAL final encore...?

Post by SchoolGirlHeart »

Let's say Jimmy's playing his final concert. Really. No kidding. This is it. For the sake of argument, let's say it's at an outdoor amphitheater (It doesn't matter which one. Just imagine it's your favorite one, and we won't debate this part, okay?), and being broadcast live at theaters and amphitheaters all over the country.

Assume M'Ville, Fins, CIP, SOASOAS, APLAF, OPH, WDWGDAS, etc have all been on the main setlist. (Although if you want, you can also use these.)

If you could, what would you choose for Jimmy's final final encore?

My picks:

First encore:
One Particular Harbour
Lovely Cruise, with the CRB

Final Encore:
Tonight I Just Need My Guitar, just Jimmy, just like it all started.....

Lovely Cruise would HAVE to be the VERY last song.

I sure hope when the time comes, he'll do a big simulcast thing like the New Orleans do jiggy last year. Then the WHOLE phlock could be part of it. :D And show the simulcast at every remaining DRIVE IN movie theater in the country!!! THAT would be appropriate!! Then he could open then show with "Grapefruit Juicyfruit!" :D

Without a doubt....."Jimmy Dreams". It sums up what he's all about.

Wouldn't it be stupendous to have ALL the places Jimmy's played over the years booked on the same day for one last amazing show? Sure, one place would be lucky enough to see it live, and for the rest of us it'd be beamed in, but we could have a whole day of tailgating together, just like always. Talk about an EVENT!!!! :o :o

I may be wrong, but I'm thinking the amphitheaters would love it, because they get the place with seats full and don't have to pay (much?) for the band.

wow....... :D

THis is so hard on many levels, hard to think about actually happening and hard to decide what songs.

BUt for me, Jimmy Dreams in one of the choices; need more time on the others.

I cant see him playing anything other than a VERY high energy version margaritaville as his last song with the lost verse
Both shows at Greatwoods in June
Seattle and Vegas in October

Sorry Matt---but I think for his final final encores, they should be JB songs.
Besides, didn't he get everything he wanted

The final final encore has to be "Lovely Cruise". It just sums it all up.
It starts; " I'm sorry its ending.........." JB, the final port of call. :(
