Hell yeah, and they were my best pickup line. In High School the chicks dug the OP corduroy shorts. I had em in all colors. You top that off with the OP surf design Polo shirt, and the chicks were butta.

Every guy I hung with had these in every imaginable color. I had OP girls t-shirts that I loved. Cool picks, scoop neck. I would love to have one of these again.
My sons bought OP polo shirts on ebay last summer from the 80's.
Those shorts were so hot on guys.

It drives my wife crazy that I am so fussy about shorts. These days all you can find are these long in the crotch cargo shorts. Hell, these aren't shorts, 6 more inches of material and you have pants. They're just ripping you off on a pair of pants, cheating you out of 6 inches of material. Where did shorts for men go, I want my shorts damn it.

Ok I'm over it now. But I do miss my OP shorts. All I wear to work is shorts. I only wear long pants about 6 times a year, that's it.

In a school? VERY casual for a teacher, isn't it? No dress code/professional appearance code?

I still have a pair of my dad's OPs- they look totally cute on me but I don't know how men wore them without their junk hanging out.

OP stands for Ocean Pacific. If you were around in the late 70's early 80's you probably had something by them.
Lightning bolt was a surf co. We wore their clothes too but alot of us wore lightning bolt necklaces too.
In our high school all the guy gym teachers still wear short shorts.

Lalalala Spend 7 hours with 165 middle school kids in California and try to make a connection in order to motivate them to learn beyond the text book and you to will attempt every approach. I wear Hawaiian Aloha shirts and shorts everyday. I have over 100 hundred Hawaiian shirts, and the kids love it. There is a prize for the kid that catches me wearing a shirt for the second time during the 183 day school year. It is a gimmick I know, but it makes a connection, and kids learn.

My one son is a wrestler at our high school. Both coaches wear hawaiian shirts in our school colors. Next year the uniforms are going to have a Hawaiian print up the sides. And the first Fri. of the month is Hawaiian shirt day for teachers.

Grew up in the OP and Panama Jack shirts... dont recall any actual OP shorts that were corduroy... hmmm... seems like livin in FL at the time if they were all that we would've been all over 'em... maybe we were distracted by the hot pink Miami Vice logo tee's and our canvas boat shoes without socks... now thats a suit

I hear ya, I have a friend that calls the shorts you find these days "longs". They don't have to be the Ocean Pacific brand but there's a whole market out there for us folks that actually prefer shorts to the knee-knockers they try to pass off as "shorts" these days.
