Sundecks? Were they like docksiders? All the guys had them. I wonder if guys shorts will start to change with shorter ones becoming popular again? That would be weird. Right now if you put on a pair of light blue corduroy short op shorts people would think you played for the other team. Alot of guys wore the Panama Jack t-shirts too.
Now get me started I miss some of my 80's clothes.

Hell, these aren't shorts, 6 more inches of material and you have pants. They're just ripping you off on a pair of pants, cheating you out of 6 inches of material. Where did shorts for men go, I want my shorts damn it.
Ok I'm over it now. But I do miss my OP shorts. All I wear to work is shorts. I only wear long pants about 6 times a year, that's it.
In a school? VERY casual for a teacher, isn't it? No dress code/professional appearance code?
Lalalala Spend 7 hours with 165 middle school kids in California and try to make a connection in order to motivate them to learn beyond the text book and you to will attempt every approach. I wear Hawaiian Aloha shirts and shorts everyday. I have over 100 hundred Hawaiian shirts, and the kids love it. There is a prize for the kid that catches me wearing a shirt for the second time during the 183 day school year. It is a gimmick I know, but it makes a connection, and kids learn.
what is it you teach?

I spelled them wrong before... Sundek. Actually I need to dig, but I think one of Jimmy's albums has him in them in a pic.
But here they are on ebay

I think they were bought out by JC Pennys. They marketed them as an everyday bargain brand. That kind of ruined their image in the eyes of the teen crowd.

Sort of like Walmart selling White Stag and bobbie brooks....they were "it" back in the day.....now they s***.
Target took over Mossimo and made it pretty uncool, too.....
Of course, the fact that I KNOW that tells you where I shop...

Yep sundecks were worn around too. As were shirts and jackets with the rainbow from one sleeve to the other.
PBans that would be it but none of the guys I hung with wore them quite like that.
PHG - you're just incredibly jealous. OP's were it. And OP's also had baggy drawstring waisted pants that alot of the guys I knew wore too.

Don't forget Nik Nik shirts... started with guys only, then I think a knock off made them for the ladies.... The were like a soft nylon... Quieana I think it was called. Basically polyester! Usually long sleeve and had a story going on all over the shirt. In 1977 if you didnt have one of these, you were SO NOT COOL! At least in my high school anyway.

ok you're going to have to be a lot more specific with the **you know what** cause in my wicked warped mind that you know what could be several things

OK, now i'm afraid. I kinda missed the disco era, except for the jr. high teeny bopper version. And my mother telling me she'd kill me if she caught me wearing tube tops.
