A Salty Review

Yeah, yeah it says album review but since it was released as a single it is the whole album. I think A Salty piece of Land is one of those, "Damn, I'm glad i'm a Buffet fan" songs! Again Jimmy has taken us out of ourselves and transported us into part of his world, (or imagination). That is one of the many Buffett songs that soothes my soul and puts me on a boat out on the sea with a vast world of beautiful land/seascapes and colorful characters. The song inspires one to delve into the book and I'm a bit disappointed that it hasn't been played on this tour so aptly named, "A Salty Piece of Land." So to all of the mindsets of Jimmy selling out his sails and sandals for a stint into his country roots, I say fooey! Lyle Lovett's song, which Jimmy covers tremendously by the way, sums him up best. "If I had a pony, I'd ride it on my boat!" 5 stars to "A Salty Piece of Land!"
