Does anyone know if and when Buffett is going to Alpine. I'm excited about Wrigley, but it would be a shame if he skips Alpine because hes going to Wrigley. Thank you.

There will be NO Alpine Valley this year  Jimmy is going to make about $10 Mill for 2 shows at wrigley field. Maybe next year. Last year was my first time a A V. We had the time of our lives :D It's not the end of the world. If you don't pay up this year, use it in a useful way.

my feeling is that more than likely the Cubs deal was arranged that they are the ONLY show in the area to guarantee they sell out at this expensive price....

I know you like sarcasm about as much as I do.
No, sadly, Jimmy will not be playing at Alpine this year BECAUSE he's playing at Wrigley. Hopefully next year he WILL, but what you and I need to understand is that, at this stage of his career, when it comes to Mr. Jimmy Buffett, we have to take what we can get.
If you're having ANY thoughts at all about going, I urge you to save your $$$$ and GO. If you don't have a great time, I promise to buy you concert tickets every year for the rest of your life. (Or the rest of MY life-whichever ends first- :-? ).
And yes, there are about 32,573 other threads about Alpine where these people are either seriously b!tching about it or trying to goad others into their OWN b!itch-fest.

Bottom line-GO to Wrigley if it is indeed the only show in town, tell yourself you'll have a great time, and you WILL.

Cheers & beers to you!

Just think of how much money the tribune and cubs will make this year. After all is paid Jimmy and the trib will clear about $5 mill each. With beer sales, shirts, parking, and what not. The phans have had it good for years. It's about time that thethe phans get to see jimmy at wrigley.
