I didn't even notice that!!!!!!. I was also looking at the book today, it of course caught my eye cause I love lighthouses thoug, so anytime I see a lighthouse I just pick it up. But, now that you mention it, it does look like a copy cat cover. HMMMMMMMMM. Must be a parrothead.
Almost all of NS's books have an Eastern NC location\setting. He lives in New Bern, NC. The lighthouse pictured on the cover of his latest book is THE Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, which is the setting fo this particular book. So I think it's hardly a ripoff. I think it's more of a coincidence than anything as I have seen promos for the book with this cover for several months. I've met NS a few times and he is a very down to earth guy, and it wouldn't surprise me if he has a JB cd or two in the player. If you've never read a NS book, do yourself a favor, it's pretty good reading. "The Notebook" is my favorite. Also, if you've never been to the Outer Banks of NC, another favor to yourself would be in order.
I used to go crazy for days at a time, Now I'm taking my time with my days!
Not necessarily. Do you really think Jimmy actually knows and sees everything that is going on? No, that's what he has a legal team for. And that's what they are paid to do.
I'm sure you'd do the same if you had a name and financial income to protect.

I'm just goofing around. I understand his reasoning, but I find sometimes it make him come across as looking bad.

So what you're trying to say is that Nicholas Sparks had better watch his back.
Hmmm...... no, not really JUST him. I don't see that putting a lighthouse on the cover of a book is 'stealing' from Jimmy.
I just think that Jimmy has done a great job at marketing himself, in many different ways, and has a legal team that protects his interests.

But what if someone had plans on buying ASPOL then bought this Nicholas Sparks book by accident and it turns out the bookstore has a no-return policy. Then Jimmy just lost out on $30. Not that he'd notice.
