Makes me really miss the good old days when I could go to the store and all the drinks were made in bottles instead of this plastic crap. Real sugar gives it a taste to die for instead of the corn syrup/caramel mixture.

Drove 3 hours to north carolina to pick some up thursday, worth every damn gallon of gas used for the trip. The place is called dr pepper bottling of west jefferson north carolina. The drinks come in 12 oz longnecks. They have 30 other flavors besides dp.

I don't drink at all so this is my heaven. Please bring back the bottles everywhere

I love Dr. Pepper but Pepsi even more so! Would love to see it come back in bottles. My granddaddy used to bring home the small bottled cokes for us when we were little. Yummy!

Darn I haven't seen pepsi in glass here in 10 years, this is dr pepper country and cheerwine is creeping up on that as well.

Ok, at the risk of sounding more ignorant than I already do......what is cheerwine, anyway?

Your not ignorant I was a bottle of corona for you yesterday :) cheerwine is a cherry flavored soda based in north carolina, it has a much sweeter taste than cherry coke or cherry pepsi. It is only available in the southeastern states to my knowledge, I got a case of that in bottles too.

Yeah, the Corona thing was fun! Thanks for the entertainment, by the way.

The cheerwine sounds really good. You seem to have a bit of the south in you. Where ya' from if you don't mind me asking (its okay...I'm not a stalker or anything like that!)

I don't "reckon" I have. Some of my favorites as a kid were the grape knee highs (that sounds funny now that I see it written out), and the orange crush, both in the glass bottles, oh and the RC cola of course!

Yeah, you can still get 'em, but I just don't think they're as good as they used to be. You know, everybody has to make their products new and improved, but never comes out tasting as good as before!

You sure as heck can tell the difference between the real sugar dr pepper and the syrup one. The real sugar rc cola was quite good as well, companies don't want to spend the extra $$$ on the good on bottles but if you took a poll i would say at least 2/3 of people in our age bracket would ask for bottles again.

There is a local dairy here that still makes milk in the bottle with the cream line at the top, good stuff I buy it once in a while if I am in the mood for it. There is not a darn thing on tv so this is my entertainment for the night :D

Growing up in the country that is all I drink, heck I cannot drink anything else but whole milk because the watered down stuff makes me sick. Life in the country is great :)
