Zyrtec and Clarinex ~ I live off the stuff this time of year.
I loved our weather forecast the other day:
"Normal Pollen counts are in the 15-20 range. Extremely high pollen count is 120. Today's pollen count in Atlanta is 5262."
FIVE
THOUSAND
Thankfully is back down around 1000 today.
By comparison, Boston's pollen count today is 147. Come back and talk to me when you get some real pollen.

our area had 3784, yesterday, and will increase daily with mold being the highest soon...
however I will agree, after being in Coastal South East Georgia a good part of the last year...you DO have some serious pollen counts !

From time to time I get hooked on Afrin. Mainly when I have a cold and absolutely can't breathe through the nose.
I have to go a couple of days without it to get back to normal.
Once while driving with my brother I held up the bottle and said "I just can't get off this stuff" at which point he quickly grabbed it out of my hand and threw it out the window of the car. Like a crackhead I went crazy and made him turn around to go get it

Allegra seems to work good for my allergies.

I used to use dimetapp reguarly, before they removed it off the market one thing I found that seems to help is not a drug...........it is opening the freezer and let the cold air blow on my face......it really does feel good ......of course one cannot stand there forever but .....it does help.
I also know that from first hand that Arizona gets some seriously high pollen counts. One can see it in the air as a yellow haze over certain areas running from horizon to horizon. Used to be people went to Arizona for the clean desert air.
Now people have brought the grasses and trees and what not, and more or less "terra formed" part of the desert. Of course the desert has it own things that bloom too...

Ah, well a good snort of the ammonia from the outside vent where blue prints were run off certainly opened up ones sinuses, the following headache required meds.. but...it opened your nasal passages...

combination of allegra and flonase treat the problem. My scripts are nearly out so I'm going to have to get to a doc to get more. The trick with these meds is you need to take them even if you are feeling ok because they take awhile to get into your system.

neither of these did anything for me...just depends on the indidivdual...guess that's why they make so many different kinds/combinations
