In an effort to stop this stupid bickering between you people on who can be posted in this thread and who can't. The following performers have played at the Armadillo World Headquarters, in Austin Texas. Jimmy played there too so any of these performers are connected to Jimmy and therefore should be safe to discuss here. I've seen a lot of stupid arguments here but the who can be posted in Related Artists and who can't takes first prize.

they were on the same stage and did a line of coke on the same mirror in the dressing room, or smoked a joint out the back door.

For the record, I haven't engaged in any bickering. I've asked several times what is a perfectly legitmate question and did so very politely and still haven't received an answer from anyone besides BNer's offering their insight. That's great but I would like a definitive answer from a moderator or phjim. If this is a forum for the discussion of ALL artists or just artists associated with Buffett that is fine by me, I'd just like an answer to the question. If it is for all artists then how come discussions of other artists haven't been moved here from the Off-Topics section? Again, I'm not trying to be argumentative, I'm merely asking for an answer to a perfectly legitimate question.

I never took you as being argumentative.

It would be nice to get a ruling from the powers that be.

I didn't mention anyone by name so why are you being so defensive??? If you will look around I've asked the powers that be in huge bold red letters to answer your question.

I'm just sick of the debate over something as trivial as who to post where. I don't care who is part of the debate.

Thanks, I don't think I've been either and have emphasized that all along.

Regarding the Armadillo World Headquarters, it may no longer exisit but the building it was in does, it's called Threadgill's and I highly recommend their ribs if ever you're in Austin. They also have lots of old photos up on the walls from the Armadillo World Headquarters days.

By the same token, I also didn't mention you by name and I also wasn't being defensive I was just addressing the concern you mentioned. As far as a debate, I've seen no evidence of one whatsoever. I, and several others have simply asked for a moderator or phjim to step forward to clear up the matter. I'm also not angry or trying to start a debate, if that's the impression I've given then that wasn't at all what I intended.

no but you did quote me

And to clear up any confusion this so and so played with Jimmy so this artist belongs here discussion is just a waste of time. Under that line of thinking Paul McCartney belongs here.

Hear me out on this one.

Paul McCartney met the Los Lonely Boys in California

The Los Loney Boys have played with Willie Nelson

Willie Nelson played the Armadillo World Headquarters

Jimmy Buffett played the Dillo

McCartney belongs here

Yes, I did but like I said, it was to address the concern of the purpose of this forum. And it's not my intention at all to start up some of sort of useless p*** match but you did mention me by name in the Kris Kristofferson thread. That's neither here nor there though.

Again, I sincerely appreciate the effort but I'm awaiting an answer from phjim or a moderator concerning this matter.

All is right with the world.

It's thursday and Jah is being overly defensive again. He missed a couple Thursdays and I was starting to worry that his doc had put him on his "happy pills" 7 days a week.

Again, and I'll state this as politely as I know how, I'm not being defensive at all, I've asked for a moderator or phjim (not a BNer, though that is most appreciated) to step forward to clear up the matter. If you've taken what said as being "defensive" then you've totally misinterpreted what I've been asking.

Give it up Jah - it's such a trivial thing. Why make a big deal of it? I say post where ever you little heart wants to and if it's wrong someone will move it and it's really no big deal.

Your continued questioning ~ it is just adding fuel to the fire and giving others reason to debate. I know the squeeky wheel gets greased but geez really in the whole freaking scheme of life it's no big deal and if anyone p*** moans or groans about it I'd say the same thing to them too.

oh and Jah - FYI - this is the post (and those following it including you) that prompted me to start this thread. the whole discussion, no matter who participates is just plain silly
