Having promoted concerts in Minor League Stadiums, I can't believe that anyone would want to be on a Wrigley Rooftop, but apparently the demand is high. Here is a Chicago Trubune story about it.

He's on a mission from God:
"Schlenker said he, too, has been hit with numerous calls and e-mails from prospective customers, including some who have said they would "be up for 25 grand" to rent his 100-person venue for each of the concerts.
"If I can get higher, I will. I didn't realize the demand for this. There's probably somebody out there willing to pay more if it goes to charity."
If the city gives the green light, Schlenker said he will donate all of his proceeds to more than half a dozen good causes, including three churches that have outgrown their facilities and want to add on.
"This is just gravy," he said of the possible Buffett buffet. "This is beyond what I planned on making, so you might say if someone is willing to pay for that space, it is like a blessing. Why not give it to some of the areas I feel passionate about?""

Re: Wrigley Roofs
This will get some people riled up...
I'm one of those people that goes to the shows for the party... I don't watch the performance that much... therefore, if there is a good party on the rooftops and people don't mind not being able to see the stage, then it's cool...Some dedicated fans "go to the concerts and sit in the parking lot," said Mark Schlenker, owner of Brixen Ivy, 1044 W. Waveland Ave., one of the few rooftop venues that would have a good view of the stage. "I don't necessarily know if he is the most talented guy out there, but he sure has a pretty good following. ... Jimmy Buffet just connotes a good time."
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'
