Private Show Saturday
Jimmy will be visiting us on the Big Island tomorrow. My friend works at the Hilton Waikoloa and he is doing a private show Saturday night. Most likely for Wells Fargo. If I can find a ride, I'll do my best to sneak in with a camera!

Probably not as much as if it had been in the middle of hiatus. The band was already in place. But I would guess $750k?Got Margaritas? wrote:Wow-wonder what that cost?!

I think that is what he charged for the Koslowski Birthday Party bought with Tyco money... In part due to travel costs, and it was not the whole band playing from what I remember.ToplessRideFL wrote:Careful...you look like the ebay ad..... LOL you mean $750 (per person)? That's what it cost to FLY THEM IN? What airline?PirateQueenApril wrote:I remember following the Tyco incident. Here is what I found about that party: Tyco party planner Barbara Jacques testified that singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett and his group were flown in at a cost of $250,000.

Probably "Strange Bird, Inc". That sounds about right for operating a private jet on trans-Atlantic flight.finsup2k wrote:That's what it cost to FLY THEM IN? I always thought those were the performance costs (e.g. $250K for Tyco) and that expenses were extra (e.g. flying them in). When I worked at coordinating some corporate customer entertainment gigs, the process was to go through a booking agency that had standard prices for each performer (I remember Elton John and Paul McCartney were at the top at $1 million; the stuff we did was significantly below that....). I don't remember where Jimmy was priced (wasn't a PH then) but my guess is that his fee is that $250K that surfaced in the Kowalski trial.
Obviously, with the band already being in Hawaii this week, the expenses for Wells Fargo would have been reduced significantly -- just have to pay for an exta 4 nights hotel, maybe some per diem, etc. I also wouldn't be surprised if Jimmy's price has gone up given his more recently expanded audience (my guess would be $300-$350K range) and desire to do many other things (that seem to have cut back his tour schedule this year)...thus balancing that good ol' supply and demand.
