Anyone have any suggestions (be nice now) for a trip to Branson? Taking a side trip while on business and would appreciate any input. Thanks!

Now I know you remember the thread a month or so about Jimmy retiring...and setting up a permenant gig in Branson! It wasn't kind to Branson! But it was pretty funny....

I have never been....But have fun.... a trip is a break from the norm...anywhere you go!

Went last year...shop at all the outlet malls. In one outlet mall, there's a VERY Buffett-friendly restaurant/bar called, something Banana or Banana something. It's the watering hole for the Ozark Mountain Parrotheads...they have a HUGE sign over the stage, tropical decor, great food, BOAT DRINKS!!!!. I could've stayed there for many hours, but the hubby wanted to go see some shows. That Yamagoochie (whatever his name is, the oriental violin player) puts on a good show and Yakov Smirnoff is hilarious. Don't go see the 'Riverdance' knockoff...half the time they are singing to recorded stuff and even the tap sounds are 'enhanced'...prerecorded! And use the back roads, not the main thoroughfare...much faster.

Thanks. I don't remember seeing that Yakov was there, will have to see him! Any suggestions for where to stay? There is a Clarion that seems kinda central.
