I'd go $8.01 just because I can eat a lot. I've been backstage for many other shows and it's never that fun. One exception would be the time I took 4 Hooters girls into Jewel's dressing room and partied with some of her band. It brought Gypsies In the Palace to a whole new level. :)
Ooo...I'll pay$8.02 to party with the 4 Hooters girls!! :D

Interesting follow-up....

Map Quest yields no result for Charity Buzz Auctions at 532 La Guardia Place...

But wait, Verizon directory tells me that at 532 La Guardia Place is a MAIL FORWARDING CENTER called Village Postal Center.

The person bidding $5,000 for these "passes" may want to reconsider!!!!

Exactly! "The Man" is very busy, especially since his rep is on the line with
every show. Would you expect a surgeon to come out and have a chat and
drinks with you before he does brain surgery on the president? I hope not.

Now, if you want to chat with the musicians/dancers/singers before a show,
get backstage and try. The best expectaions you can have about the "pre-
party" are free grocery store deli food, free cheap beer, a glimpse of a
band member surrounded by fans from across a crowded room, and that
you'll chat with other people who got into the pre-party.

Want to "meet" the CRB members? Come to MotM!!!

Exactly, for those of you that have been backstage, you can enlighten the others. There's just not much back there - least of all, the artist. It's a lot of workers and shuffling about. I think its pretty well-known that Buffett does the proverbial "meet and greet" at his shows, but I've never been a part of one. That would be worth paying for.

At today's rate of exchange, that's about $748,800.00 USD. That's a whole lot more then I would pay!

Man! I wouldn't be worth sh!t if I was working right after a nap!
Maybe that's part of why show start times vary so much!

Geez, I wanna trade currencies with you!!!!!!! :o :o :o :o :o

I just looked up the current rate and $1US = 1,360,400 Turkish Lira; I'd be set to make about $748,799.00US from you!!! When can we trade??? (Therefore, a million Turkish Lira is about 75 cents. Sorry to burst your bubble.... :-? )

When I've been backstage they've had more than grocery deli food. It's not a gourmet meal but at various times I've had shish kebab, hot wings, Swedish meatballs, something that looked like tacos but wasn't and was very tasty, chips and dip and/or salsa, a fruit platter, Corona, Modelo Negro, margaritas and wine. I've also had a chance to talk to all of the CRB except Nadirah, Mac, Roger and the new dancer who's taking Jules' place this year.

You're looking at the NEW Turkish Lira, I was referring to the regular old Turkish Lira.

Me I would pay mexcooker12's left testicle and I would throw in Shane's right one
the question is, Is this a matched set? Just curious ya know.
I would think a fundraiser with that starting value would get you at least a handshake.

The other thing I'm wondering is if you had a coupon for two tix anywhere in the continental US what show would you chose to use them for?

well, in all fairness I went backstage after a Don Henley concert and was totally impressed at how Don took the time to meet every person who was backstage - he is a really nice guy and put up with everyone telling him how great he is.

Passes

Post by Delaneysdad »

If I'm wearing a backstage pass, You can bet I will be getting paid to wear it.
Even For Bubba...

Now, on the other hand How much would I pay to sit down at the Taco stand and share some cold beer and HOT Chiles with the man? That my friends should be the question...

Maybe Mexcooker would donate his Left huevo for the tacos...

absolutely accurate, LIPH. . .and plus , you get to return at intermission, just not a lot going on . . but it beats waiting in the draft beer line. . ! !
