A good friend of mine smoked most of his life...he's 46-47 now. His kids finally got in his face about it and really gave it to him good, plus it was really affecting his vacation activities like scuba diving etc. He went the hypnosis route and hasn't picked up a cigarette since. The cool thing was that the hynotist used bottled water as the "replacement" for having something in his hand, so now he's even healthier.

Hmmm, I wonder if I can by hypnotized out of liking chocolate? :-?

Well, in PT I have been working like a mad dog in the gym...I have a trainer that pushes me to the edge and then kicks me over. :o  Eliminating chocolate would get me in shape a whole lot faster.

My foot/ankle may never be back to normal after the break, but the rest of me is a WHOLE lot stronger. :D

Actually sweets in general...they are my nemesis. My meals are actually pretty healthy, it's those between meal snacks that get me. And I can't seem to just eat 2 oreos and quit...I end up eating 4 or 5. :-? But I'm getting better about it, and trying to eat healthy stuff for snacks instead of junk.

Maybe I just need to have my sweet tooth pulled.

Hmmm, maybe we can get a group discount to be hypnotized out of all our addictions.

Of course knowing this group we'd celebrate by going out to eat, drink, smoke, whatever.   :-?

I stopped March 22, 2003 after smoking for around 12 years.
I quit cold turkey, and have not looked back. Yes I too have had those "smoking" dreams. But as far as real life, I haven't had any problems. Just hang in there

Has anyone quit using xy-ban? What was your experience with it? I want to quit and my doctors says this is the way to go.

I just past my 10 year stopped mark. I was out with a friend after I'd been quit about 2 years. We were in a bar, drinking rum runners. I picked up her cigarrettes and lit one. I threw up SO HARD...I knew I was no longer a smoker and that was the end of ever wanting another.
