Nebraska to cancel unnecessary election

Post by PHBeerman »

This dude is revered back home. In the interest of saving money the state should cancel the election and just give him the job now. When I was a kid we used to go the stadium a couple times a year for field trips and he would always come and talk to us. Dr. Tom is a class act, I want to move home so he can be my governor.

Nice of him to announce early enough to give everyone else time to drop out of the race or choose other offices for which to run. :D

Nobody in their right minds would run against him . . . or vote against him.

Sadly, no. I live in Oklahoma City. My dad got transferred down here when I was a sophomore in high school, so I graduated here and then OU gave me lots of money to stay in state (how's that for a minority--OU Alumni for Nebraska!).

I went to Washington, DC for three years but married an Oklahoma girl and ended up moving back last summer.

Still get up north whenever I can, though. :D

Born in North Platte, lived in CO for a while when I was young and then moved back to Omaha before coming to OK.

My dad grew up on a farm near Loup City and most of his family still lives in the Grand Island/Kearney/Hastings area.

How about you?

Exccept for his witholding evidence ( a gun used in a shooting) I'm sure a few women's groups might have a few things to say about the way he heandled the Lawrence Phiips case.....

I am sure you should do your research before making such comments. Read his side of the story, not just what CNN told you.

Obviously you are not well versed on what happened. Have you read Dr. Tom's account of the story?

I am p*** because we have screwed up the process of natural selection so bad that people who hold a genetic makeup as poor as your own are still able to survive and consume oxygen that may be used by real people.
