Kenny Chesney Jimmy Wannabe???
Ok, i would just like to point out something. I am not saying that Kenny is a Jimmy wannabe. People can have their own opinions. But I went to go see Kenny Chesney last year for his 2004 tour. He played CIP, and also had Jimmy playing during the intermission, not to mention Jimmy was on the big tv saying welcome to the tour. This past saturday I saw Kenny Chesney in Columbia, well he didn't play Jimmy, but he did Brown Eyed Girl (which Jimmy redid orginally done by Van Morrison) and also he started to sing Midnight Rider, (which Jimmy sang last year in Atlanta). I just thought it was kind of funny. I like both of them. That just kind of had me thinking. What does anyone else think about it?

I think that this discussion has the potential to be a time bomb. This has been discussed before with bad results. It has been pointed out numerous times that KC is a parrothead. Josh Leo - who played with Buffett also wrote a song which KC recorded on When the sun Goes Down. KC's being a parrothead is discussed in this thread.

just to instigate it...who cares if he is a wannabe or not?
Hell, I want to be like Jimmy too....If I had any musical talent, I'd try to put out music like Jimmy does. Not because I want to be exactly like Jimmy, but because it's a lifestyle I'd love to have. I'm sure Jimmy isn't hte only person to love the beach, islands, liquor, etc.....
for the record - I've always hated Chesney...his songs flat out s***...but his new album is pretty damn good, I must confess.

Re: Kenny Chesney Jimmy Wannabe???
Uhm do some research, Kenny and Kid Rock sang Midnight rider at the "Back where I come from concert" which was before Jimmy started singing it. I guess that means Jimmy wants to be Kid.finupbarefootchildren wrote:Ok, i would just like to point out something. I am not saying that Kenny is a Jimmy wannabe. People can have their own opinions.
