Buffetts stage will be on the 50yrd line, facing the east stands. That whole side of the stadium will be used for the concert.

As for Will Smith, Brad Paisley and the others, they are playing Wed, June 1st, in Bud Walton Arena (basketball). That concert is for Stockholders and guests.

Buffetts concert should start around 7pm with some opening acts.

Thats the latest news!!!!!!!!!

Admision to Wal-Mart Concert

Just heard from one of our members about what you need to be admitted as a shareholder to the June 2, mtg. (concert),
You musthave stock in Walmart NLT 5 Apr 05.
You must present the "Admittance Slip" provided on the back cover of the 60 page book entited, "Notice of 2005 Annual Stockholder's Meeting."
AND have a picture ID.
So much for gate crashing!

so are 70,000 stockholders really going to show up? Too bad about the picture ID, as some people may not want/can't attend and would like to give their tickets up.

What happened to the open to the public part? Is this going to be like a regular concert in terms of number of songs? I wouldn't want to drive 3 hours and then not be able to get in, or only hear a few songs.

If I have this wrong, please correct me but my understanding is that the shareholders will be allowed to enter the stadium 30 minutes earlier than non-shareholders to get the best seats. Then they will allow everyone else to enter but not sure how they will do the seating. Potentially massive PH general admission stampede in a football stadium sounds pretty crazy to me. Not sure how long JB will play but he is obviously the primary act. Can anyone confirm the plans for entry?

Hey gang,

I just got off the phone with the wal mart home office. Here is what i was told. 1. Associates and Shareholders will be seated first. 2. General public will be allowed in next as room allows. 3. the lady says nobody cares about the other people they have booked, all her calls are about JB.

I also personally know these things. 1. If you can't get into the stadium you will still be able to see/hear inside from the NE corner. RRS is a horseshoe and a huge hillside takes up the NE corner outside the stadium with a great view inside. 2. A great time will be had by all parrotheads who show up, because the northwest arkansas PHC is planning some great parties the night before and immediatly following Jimmy. For more infor on the parties or help finding a place to stay or with directions contact us at parrotheadsunite@yahoo.com
Thanks,

we are planning to attend , but have one smaaa-a-all problem . .

BG2 is an active shareholder , but does not remember getting the 60 page book . .and , thus , we have no " admittance slip " . . .

think there might be a substitue proof of business. . ? ?

I'll be coming from Tampa . .so this is playing a major role on if we do come. .

thanks, in advance. .

Still checking the shareholder route. One of our members who has the
stockholder book says the admission ticket on page 60 is for Saturday,
June 4, not for the concert date June 2. Wished someone had some reliable information.

Any new news on this concert? Would love to be a Wal-mart share holder at this point... maybe most of them won't show up leaving seats for those of us that make up the "general public..." :D

my mom is checking with her manager who is going to the show and the meeting to see what you need to get it.

I can't go but my mom said when she went to arkansas in feb they told her if she went she would have VIP passes and would be part of the meet and greet. If she didn't go only immediate family with proof would be allowed those passes. Damn it to hell I wanted to go.

Inside information from Walmart

I got a copy of an email distributed to Walmart employees today from their events group. Here is the scoop:

1) Contrary to some media outlets reporting it, no shareholders or public will be permitted inside for the concert. Only Walmart associates (employees) will be allowed in.

2) The warm-up acts are Shakira and Jessie McCartney.

3) The concert is limited to the first 25,000 people.

4) Each associate is allowed one guest who must enter at the same time as the associate.

5) Gates open at 6:15 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:00

6) They will hand out souvenier tickets as people enter. Once the tickets are gone, nobody else gets in.

I will get in thanks to a family member who works for Walmart.....good luck to everybody else.
