Ya know, I've rethought this whole idea, and I apologize that my earlier posts were so negative. I've had to resort to "brokers" twice before and it would have been better if I'd had an alternative. I'd still like to know the relative price of the regulatr broker sites and what NYCPort offers.

Next time you need something check a local brokers website and then check with me and see if I can do better.

I have met PORT before too and he's not a scalper. He is trying to help. I've had to use 'brokers' before too - I hate doing it, and I've been lucky enough to get TM tix lately, but if there is a way to undercut the 'professional' scalpers, well then..... And as for breaking the rules of the board....PORT didn't buy any of the tickets, and he's not selling them for his own profit. And Buffett isn't the only show that sells out in 2 seconds flat....for half a second I thought I would surprise my hubby with U2 tickets. ha. not a chance. Thanks for offering your services to us all PORT!
PORT - see you June 22!!

For those of you who were wondering about the prices, I asked for 4 different groups of tickets and most were between 15 - 20% lower then what the broker had them listed for. One group though was 45% lower, not sure why.

Let me make sure I understand this PORT. If we go through you, does that mean we take business from a @#$%&* SCALPER and potentially take food from the table of a @#$%&* SCALPER????
If so, then congratulations!

You're my newest hero

Well sorta...We take money from one scalper. Don't forget I still have to get them from another scapler. We're just getting ride of the middle man.

Re: I can help you get hard to find tix...Well, sort of.

I would like to see what tickets you can get for the Jimmy Buffett show in Charlotte on June 4. I want to be in the middle in the first 10 rows - 2 tickets. The tickets go on sale this Sat.
Thanks,
Debbie McConnell
NYCPORT wrote:I have cracked the inner sanctum of the ticket broker world! I now have access to the database that all the brokers use! Don't ask me how, but I now can get the tickets you see online for A LOT less the prices you see. They still will be above face value and have a nice mark up, but they will be cheaper than prices you can see.
I will make a promise to everyone on this board. I will charge $5 per ticket plus shipping costs above my cost for any show (I doesn't have to be Jimmy). I charge the $5 because it did cost me a large amount of money to gain access to the promised land and I would like to try and recoup some of my costs. If you are interested simply go onto any of the big broker sites and find a specific set of tickets you want and PM me with the interest. I'll let you know how much I can get them for.
I hope I'm not opening myself up to a giant batch of criticism. All I'm trying to do is save myself money as well as you guys.
When I respond to your PM's please use the quote button so I can remember what we were talking about. I have to delete you messages after I respond to them or my mailbox will get full in a day or two.

You are a broker and a parrothead broker who has added up a ton of posts good for you.
I told the board I worked in a MAJOR brokers shop while I was in college and to have access to the three boards and I know what boards you are talking about you have to be a member or know a member.
I say this, I am still in with the people I worked with and I will call you on the carpet and find out what you are quoting out. Feel free to PM me and I will let you know if this is real or not.
I SAY NOT BROKER BOY you are a FRAUD.
