At 1mm I would think we would be able to have the band, security, venue, insurance for a full concert (2-21/2 hours). At 1mm, just shooting from the hip, I'm thinking that Jimmy and the CR's would be able to clear 500-700K. That HAS to be worth a couple hours work.ToplessRideFL wrote:That works...Lets see...according to the STATS page there are 9840 current users. If everyone brings 3 guests we are up to 29520 people. If the show is a cool mil....It works out to $33.87per person. SO the question is... what do we get for the mil? Just Jimmy? The Band? The venue?... Let the brainstorming begin!UpstateNYPH wrote:It's alright, anyone who joins after 5/13/05, no go! lol

EXCELLENT idea!!!Midnight Flyer wrote:I'll tell them The Balcony Girls will be there. That should get us one heck of a discount!
I wonder if the money, or part of it, needs to be paid up front? Do you have a PayPal account?

I agree. There would be no announcment because there would be nothing to announce. Private parties are not publicly announced. As far as scalpers, we could work out a system to virtually eliminate that. Bruce Springsteen did here in LA a couple weeks ago. Admittedly, showing ID for wristbands at the door would be cumbersome and costly but still there has got to be a way. I never saw any tickets for sale by scalpers for the Phillip Morris show.ToplessRideFL wrote:its a private party. No announcement would be necessary.... Invitation Only!
Or simply, if you're a BN'r that scalped your ticket, you're gone. Banished forever! OMG-if Cowboy Junkie could hear me now....

39360..... just out of curiosity, which amphitheatres could we fill with thatToplessRideFL wrote:I am in...but with corrected numbers....
If every BN member gets 3 vouchers... thats 4 total. In which case that would be 39360 people attending. Which means $25.40 per person.
Sorry...had to get the calculator...ran out of toes

I'm in!!!! Now think about this idea - how about JUST Jimmy unplugged at a nice outdoor venue say Red Rocks! Instead of sharing him with 30,000 other peeps
(just ignore that white stuff on the ground - we'd have him here in the summer
)

Countless artists have released video footage of their performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Anyone who has seen a concert surrounded by the natural beauty and grandeur of Red Rocks can understand why.
It's also not hard to believe that some of the greatest musicians of all time have preferred Red Rocks to bigger venues and larger profits. Perhaps it just isn't fair. How can other venues compare to Red Rocks' acoustic perfection beneath the starry Colorado sky?
It comes as no surprise that many artists who play Red Rocks want to catch their performance on tape. But over 9,000 people per event can attest- if you were there, you'll never forget it.
1/2 a million ÷ by 9,000 peeps = $55.55 per person!

If we dont want something like a ballpark, we may need to downsise it to maybe 2 vouchers...ToplessRideFL wrote:I am in...but with corrected numbers....

Oh, and I think the best place would be Florida. Less travel for the band members = less money for us.

Red Rocks would be PERFECT! Center of the country (almost), intimate and beautiful setting. Haven't been to a show there since I saw George Benson there in 1981 but still remember it well. I was very impressed by it.PHAW Webmistress wrote:I'm in!!!! Now think about this idea - how about JUST Jimmy unplugged at a nice outdoor venue say Red Rocks!
