On the 60 Minutes interview Jimmy said that his strongest fanbase was in NYC but on here, even for the much smaller city, there seems to be more parrotheads from the Boston area, which area do you think has a higher percentage of their population as parrotheads?

There are more PH's in NY than NY wants to admit.

Plus didn't Jimmy say something in the 60 Minutes article that New York had the highest grossing amount of PH's or something like that???

Oops, sorry phansheridan. Didn't see your post. I was thinking along the same lines you were, voted, and didn't read. Sorry.

Any Boston PH who tells you that Boston PH's are better are the same people that tell you that (I'll admit pre-2004) the Red Sox are better than the Yankees even when the Yankees beat them every year and the Yankees had the better record.

those red sox teams were better, but i respect the yankees accomplishments, but hey its easy to win when you field an all star team every year and can go into small markets and offer your third basemen more than some whole teams make

Since the question was which city has a higher PERCENTAGE of PHs I'd have to go with Boston... but don't forget the entire population of Boston is only about 7% of that of NYC. :o So I would guess if you counted actual numbers rather than percentages, there are probably a lot more parrotheads in NYC.

How were the Red Sox better than the Yankees (circa 1995-2003)? Before 2002, the core of the Yankees were mostly homegrown (Jeter, Pettitte, Rivera, Bernie, Posada) or fit the "Yankee type," guys that didn't complain about others, played hard, and were overall professional and classy (O'Neill, Tino Martinez, Knoblauch, Brosius, Stanton among others).
Plus, the Yankees always beat the Red Sox in those September series in which the Yankees always came in 1, 2, or 3 games up and left up 4,5 or 6 games up to finish off the AL East.
