Old Bobby Boy here has a trip planed with Mom and Dad to Key West in December. ( The 9th to the 16th ) The Prince of Bluberness has been to Key West a couple of times on a cruise ship but has never been there for more then 8 hours.
But thanks to a pay increase in Mom and Dads old age pension they have some extra money saved up and they are taking old Bobby to Key West for the entire week. (An early Christmas present from the best parents in the world.)
The Prince of Bluberness just has a few questions? Number one: How will the weather be this time of the year? Will Bobby be able to wear a Speedo 24/7 or will it be to cold for the Banana Hammock. Number two: The Prince Of Bluberness will be staying at the Cocounut Mallory Resort which is on the east side of the island. How far away is this from the old town, and will it be a pain in the butt to get there?
Thanks for your help Parrotheads.

The Speedo Man is 43 years old, 100 ibs overweight, suffers from male pattern baldness, old Bobby boy here cannot get a date if his life depended on it, and the Prince Of Bluberness still lives with his parents.

Beautiful. Bring a light jacket or sweater in case of a cool evening. Like in the 60's....

About 3 1/2 miles. You're definitely driving or taking a cab. There are public parking lots off Duval, but I'm not sure exactly where. I know there's a private lot on Green Street, near the Conch Republic Seafood Company, that costs between $10 and $20 for the day, depending on the season.

no speedo 7/24. And where you are staying is about as far as you can get from Old Town and still be on Key West. Fortunately, you can ride the Bone Island Shuttle easily, and be downtown in time to see HSV staggering around in his latest FantasyFest costume.

I also recommend the Bone Island Shuttle. Renting a car is expensive, and parking it anywhere near old town is also expensive. The shuttle offers all day unlimited riding and has A/C. Plus I love their motto..."Safety First, with Courtesy a Close Second."
...someplace farther south, where the water's warm, the drink's are cold, and I don't know the names of the players...
How much is the Bone Shuttle? The Speedo Man is wondering if they charge by the day or by the week or something? Old Bobby Boy here went on there web site but there was no price what so ever. Can some one please help the Prince Of Bluberness out here?

If I recall correctly from our recent visit, it's $8 a day for unlimited all day use, and $6 a day for a 3 day pass, or $18. They also appear to have 5 day packages, but I'd call the number on their website to be sure. 305-293-8710

I thought of him this morning when they had a clip on the news about some people running around the town in Speedos for a Cancer benefit! Maybe he has been MIA because he was in training for this run!
