Here's my story and I'm sticking to it...

Graduated high school, went to college because my parents told me I had to, partied too much in college, said "screw it" after one year of college, moved to Florida with one of my bestest friends from grade school, got a dinky little efficiency apartment and job at some factory where most of the population was either running from the law or illegal.

Got up in the a.m. and went to work, drove home from work every day in the rain, by the time I got home the rain had stopped, packed cooler, walked to the beach, watched the sunset, stumbled home, and did it all over again the next day.

True testament to being young and dumb...because I actually got homesick and ended up leaving after a few months.

Wouldn't trade the experience for anything... :P 8)

Tell me about it...what is up with the weather this year...where's the freakin' summer at?!?!?

Anyhoo... in response to other parts of the Keys... Where would you suggest?!?!? Thats what this is all about... toss out your suggestions :D

I actually think that if I was to ever look at that place long term...it's cause I would be looking to find my way to make my own living off the tourism revenues...there's a gimmick down there I could afford to get into and it's just waiting for me to out market the competition -- that's my strength...take a small business concept and I will find a way to be more profitable at it by out marketing the competition...or at least giving 'em one hell of a run for their money

FTR - I dont think anyone who's met ya could ever reference you as ever being a dick

I'd say just about anywhere in the Keys would be nice, Marathon is good.

Remember, the further north you are the shorter the traffic jam leaving the Keys for hurricane evacuations.

I think if I lived in the keys, especially in KW, I'd have to have either an airplane or a fast boat with HUGE tanks, 'cause there's no way everyone's gonna make it up US 1 in time..... :-?

I dont like motorcycles....
I'd take either a Jeep Wrangler... or just a regular ragtop... I really liked Annie's convertible... it was a Solara, never was much on 'em till I drove hers... think I'd take the latter simply for the fuel efficiency...
