It's 1.96 if you're willing to fill up right across from the sewage treatment plant... (I'm NOT)
But we still pay 2.04 because we go to the station that gives the best customer service... even though they are a LOT higher we don't mind shelling it out...
pipe down Jesus basher

What you and the rest of the world outside the US doesn't understand is we have never paid the prices of the rest of the world because of all the help we give to foriegn countries. So now that we are gettting screwed at the pump it's time to cut back those "gifts" and decrease our taxes!
fuel taxes go into the highway trust fund to pay for more highways so we can drive even more, generating more taxes....

Yea, but that wasn't the taxes I was talking about. I mean our FIC that is used to give away to other countries to do business with us and kiss their asses. Well if they are going to raise the barell prices then take away the money that we are giving away.

Are you kidding me?
Just finished putting $40 in my tank just to top it from half-full!!!
Prices have DROPPED in recent weeks to 2.32 (down from 2.59)
It's still hovering around 3.00 at the coast.
..and self-service is pretty much your only option!

I'd kill for a full service station here!
I hate having to get out of the car... air conditioning is my friend... I mean, Q pumps gas for me... but if he didn't have to, I'd see him a lot more!

$1.89 per gallon in Cedar Rapids.
$1.93 per gallon in Iowa City.
I guess I can't complain after reading what everyone else pays. (But I will anyway).
I've OFFERED a solution to the problem-tell the Saudis we'll pay them $20.00 per barrel, take it or leave it.
If the say no, we drill for oil in THIS country and open up a bunch of OUR OWN refinerys. And if the environmentalist kooks get in the way with their stupid sings,
BLAST THE BASTARDS!

What you dont understand is that approx 80% of our fuel costs , are all sorts of federal and state taxes - they figure its an easy way to get money - we all need petrol

Wife has a Honda sometimes she can go 500 plus on a tank, I want one but my tall 6ft 2 ass can't fit comfortably in the drivers seat. That is the only downside to foreign cars I have found, if your tall your SOL lol

Agreed... I'm not tall... but I'm close to maxin it out... and I am maxed out if anyone is in the backseat... but I'm single again, and only have my kids part time... so I guess it serves the purpose it did when I originally picked it up back in '97 - before failed marriages or kids
pretty comfy if it's just me

I have head clearance in my wifes accord it is a pain in the butt to turn the wheels because my knees always hit against the steering wheel. So I never drive it. Way too dangerous to be going 75 on the interstate having to make a lane change and your knees get in the way of you turning. I have pleanty of leg and head room in my saturn but i am basically driving in the backseat too. Right now it is just me and the misses but even if we have kids it will be ok for a little while.

I had rather our gas increase be to going for our roads than my paycheck money going to a country that goes up on our oil price anyday!
