Since Jimmy and CR band are rehearsing for the next leg of the tour, do you think they are somewhere in South Carolina?

For the charity events and openings like this, I'm told we always know in advance if he is coming. It helps with the ticket-selling and charity end of things.

The "Surprise" visits are the ones where he just shows up, like happened in Downer's Grove last November, they had no idea he was coming until an hour before hand.

Sorry.

VBS all this week for the keets, and the Mrs. and I are doing our part, so I can't make it Tuesday.

However...

Trust me...the crab cakes, wings, ribs, onion slivers, salads...it's ALL good!

And the boat drinks weren't too bad, either!

Wasted away....

I am heading up to G'ville on Thursday so I can make a stop there. I wanted to go tonight, but some of my family are out of town and wanted me to wait till they got back.

Ummm... I don't recall hearing about Jimmy appearing in Downer's Grove in November 2004 for a surprise visit.

And if you mean November 2003, for the opening party, it definitely was not a surprise visit... he was on "the bill" from the get-go, and the $75 tickets were near impossible to get. They did a raffle for a chance to buy them in a hospital parking lot, and US99 and the River radio stations also gave away chances to buy them.

I never did manage a ticket, but Novelist's eye and I went anyway, hung out outside with about 40 other people, thoroughly enjoyed the show from the sidewalk outside the rollup doors, and were treated to mini cb's, pizza, posters, t-shirts etc anyway. I made the paper, she made the CLTV video, and we officially met Johnny and the Beach Bum Band for the very first time!

Great place. Just got back from CiP. Our waitress was awesome. The food was great. And the music was refreshing after a day at work.

:( sorry but it was kind of a no frills opening. Even the waitress said so and was dissapointed and she said she's been to 10 openings :( . No friends or PHCers wanted to come :(
