I'm disappointed because it is already Friday at 4:20 and they have not started the Margaritaville Happyhour in New Orleans, I love Carson and the rest of the guys!! That's the kick off to my weekend hearing Jimmy's Tequila a little after 4pm and ending it promplty at 5pm w/ it's 5:00 somewhere just as I shut down my work comptuer! I have noticed that the lineup is a little different - you can see that on the "what's on" portion of RM's site. Anybody know anything about Happyhour?
...lava me now, or lava me not!

emial sent to Radio Margaritaville
Mr. Huntington,
We’ll, after listening to the “New” Radio Margaritaville for the past three days, it appears that the good old days are gone.
What radio audience are you targeting? Stevie Wonder, then Elvis and then Lovin Spoonful?
I am sorry to hear that Mr. Buffett is running into a cash flow problem? Is it that he built too many restaurants to quickly? Or maybe it’s that the Coral Refers want too large of a raise? I hope the money that Sirius Radio has given him will help him get buy?
Oh well, all good things have to come to an end. I am sure glad I did not buy Sirius radio! An iPod instead with some good Parrot Head music is a much better deal!

Steve just asked everyone to be patient...that all the goodies will be back: Feats at Five, New Orleans Happy Hour, etc!udog2us wrote:Mr. Huntington,

I heard that too. He said all the favorites will be back once they get the technical details ironed out. He mentioned Feats at Five, etc.MikeInNOLA wrote:Steve just asked everyone to be patient...that all the goodies will be back: Feats at Five, New Orleans Happy Hour, etc!udog2us wrote:Mr. Huntington,

I guess we should wait it out.

Sirius Radio
If they don't have all the problems worked out, then maybe they should have waited till they did.
I'm not sure if we will ever return to the old format? We can only hope.
I never did like Lovin Spoonful!

personally I've always thought that RadioMargaritaville (keyword being "Margaritaville") should stick to "islandesque" music, be it calypso, reggae, caribbilly, and the like. There's more than enough "islandesque" music out there to fill a station's airwaves around the clock.
Seems like everytime I tune in it's playing something that not remotely tropical. Just my luck I guess
I mean the Beatles..what? Frank friggin' Sinantra? The other night they played "New York, New York" right after the show
but hey at least they followed it with Kenny Chesney's "Guitar & tiki Bars.
I thought the Vacation Channel was great and was hoping that they'd kinda stick to that format plus way more Buffett songs, not to mention the shows. Only in a tropical dream................

I absolutely agree! In fact, as a Sirius subsriber I sent them an email about 10 days ago lamenting the every same thing: That I'm very happy they are adding Radio Margaritaville but disappointed it's replacing Sirius' Vacation Channel, which played islandesque music 24/7. RM does not, and there are times when some of us just want to tune in to "life under the sun and palms," not to Little Feat or the Grateful Dead.sonofabeach wrote:personally I've always thought that RadioMargaritaville (keyword being "Margaritaville") should stick to "islandesque" music, be it calypso, reggae, caribbilly, and the like. Sirius emailed me back saying they would forward my comments to their programming director ... I'm not holding my breath for any other kind of reponse...
