New London Day article

Post by Zuke »

It's meeeeeeeeee!!

Mohegan -- The parrot heads are certainly doing their part for the economy.

“This year, I think I've spent about 900 (dollars) on tickets alone,” said Tom Zukowski of Enfield as he wolfed down a cheeseburger in an open-air parking lot at Mohegan Sun Friday afternoon, about seven hours before the night's Arena headliner, Jimmy Buffett, was scheduled to take the stage.

In addition to Friday's show at the casino, the 38-year-old Zukowski has tickets to both Buffett shows at Massachusetts' Tweeter Center next week and to one in Philadelphia later this summer. Add to the ticket costs the price of his grass skirt, shot-glass necklace and other paraphernalia, and it is safe to say Zukowski is a die-hard Buffett fan

Hey Zuke,

I was in the row behind you last night. It was nice meeting you and your friends at the show. I read that article and thought that was you. A picture of the Drunk Vader to go along with the story would have been nice. Have a GREAT time at Greatwoods!

May the FiNS be with you.

GREAT show last night...I must say one of the funniest things I've ever seen was the look on people's faces in the hallways of the Sun when the Flock took over prior to the show... I guess their not used to seeing men in grass skirts and coconut bras....

Hopefully, I'll meet some of you guys in Philly...

We were in Section 27, great seats right behind the stage, we were in the first row of the 3 row section in the corner, I draped my Red Sox 21 Buffett jersey over the railing, I guess it got on screen at one point.

I did notice the lack of Parrotheads in the first few rows, people looked like they were going to see Neil Diamond, not Jimmy Buffett, they were all sitting down, and many did not even react to "Fins".

Springparrot.......nobody calls me Tom, so my name might as well be "Zuke", I've had the nickname for many years! :P

Zuke, I was behind the stage as well, but up pretty high...the sound was kinda crappy up there...but I do remember through the haze your Sox jersey.
