LVC is a friend of CRC that we got to know. I haven't been out to visit her 3 or 4 times. LVC knows so much about behind the scenes action in Vegas, that she is CIA. Some of her info is on Hardwood (big gamblers may know the name). Hardwood used to be the Director of Player Development at TI. He has since moved over to Mirage.

Hope that helps.

In a round-about way. She used to be a flight attendant on the MGM/Mirage private jet. That's how she knows so much.

Hey everyone, we are also looking forward to the show on the 29th. We are thinking about renting a car for the weekend. Is this a good idea? Do hotels and other places charge for parking or valet (other than tip)? We will probably spend the weekend going to different places around town but didn't know if it would be cheaper taking the new train system or take a cab. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Welcome to the Vegas madness!

Unless you're spending a lot of time WAY out of town, I don't know that renting a car would be wise. Remember, you'll have to pay for parking and/or valet every time you go somewhere. Also, if you are staying on the strip, traffic will be gridlock all day.

Here's the website for the monorail: http://www.lvmonorail.com/
You can look at the map and see where you want to go and if it takes you there.

Typically, a cab is going to run around $10. The bus also seems to be a viable alternative for going up and down the strip. Anything other than that, just call Dean. I'm sure he won't mind driving all of us around anytime we need to go somewhere. :pirate:

Mal- You should refer everyone to that lovely strip club in Vegas... It wasn't that far of a cab ride, was it?
And all across the harbour
Night lights shinin' in
It looks just like stars on the water

It probably wasn't that far of a ride, but Mal swears she isn't coming this year. So I'm guessing she won't be working in the same hotel room as last year.
