Do hotels and other places charge for parking or valet (other than tip)? We will probably spend the weekend going to different places around town but didn't know if it would be cheaper taking the new train system or take a cab. Any suggestions? Thank you!
Welcome to the Vegas madness!
Unless you're spending a lot of time WAY out of town, I don't know that renting a car would be wise. Remember, you'll have to pay for parking and/or valet every time you go somewhere. Also, if you are staying on the strip, traffic will be gridlock all day.
Here's the website for the monorail:

You can look at the map and see where you want to go and if it takes you there.
Typically, a cab is going to run around $10. The bus also seems to be a viable alternative for going up and down the strip. Anything other than that, just call Dean. I'm sure he won't mind driving all of us around anytime we need to go somewhere.
