Maybe, but it’s still on topic as far as I’m concerned.

People still respond enthusiastically to those songs, and as long as they do why would they not get played?
It only make sense as an entertainer to play what works and what appeals to the broadest base of fans, not to cater your show to an unsatisfiable niche audience that will always find something new to b**** about anyway.
Ok, maybe replacing M’ville wasn’t really a good idea, as every artist has to have that one song they play every concert. As for the others, I really think Jimmy needs to stick up for himself (ok, his catalogue rather). How about, for example one night he plays CIP, and Fins the other?
That’s my point exactly, it’s about the money now, not the music. If it were about the music, Jimmy would be to each corner of his catalogue, not just peck at it. I know, I know, it’s his job, it should be about the money, but would he go broke if he dared temporarily drop CIP? “The majority of the people there are gonna be SYKBH maniacs, so we gotta target the majority” is probably what he’s thinking. Not every last decision the man makes has to be a smart business move.
“I wanna make my music for money no, I wanna make my music for me”
Alex Harvey wrote those words, but I’m sure Jimmy sang them to us at the time because the lyrics spoke very much of his opinion.
He lied to us.
